We have 2 of these, ended up changing the tyres over to small motorbike tires, more tread, easier to get through sandy/muddy terrain. only $45 per tyre to change over at tyrepower

There still seems to be some lifting and carrying going on. It seems to me that a set of ramps up into the trailer would be of benefit. Hook onto a hive, drive up (reverse up?) into the trailer, turn and deposit the hive, reverse back and down the ramps for the next hive.

This left looks real good but I think if the handles were down about a feet or so . I think it will work out after you use it a while. Thanks

LOL, where do you keep the spare tyre? I was waiting for a stump to eat one of the tubes. I'm guessing ramps might be your next investment ;)

Like my daddy used to tell me, you have to be smarter than the equipment you're trying to operate. I bet the girls were pissed after all that high pitched noise and bumping around. Awesome piece of equipment that all of us with beekeper's back need.

If you grab it from the front or back, instead of the sides, you could drop the hives right on your stand.

This looks about 100x more cumbersome than just picking up the hives by hand. How heavy are the hives?
@sawspandabear6 жыл бұрын
Caroline Spiz A medium super will weigh 40 to 50 lbs. A deep super will weigh 70 to 90 lbs. A deep hive body full of bees, brood, and honey should weigh about 80 lbs. Sauce : www.perfectbee.com/blog/weighing-your-beehive-why-and-how/

Looks bad for the hive as you are lifting it to the side. That would be smashing the frames against each other.

A little Dingo mini loader would be a much more efficient option
