Airbrushing is kinda intimidate if you don't have a demo, for me personally I do media makeup and had to learn how to do that like last year in december in college, theres so many ways of holding it, but I believe you can learn!

@@leademi1387 the plus side of air brushing.. you can use stencils and masks to do interesting effects... even use water droplets for a 3-D wet look using a different shade of color (seen it on "Power Nation" painting a car)

The "spillage" is called over-spray. Most often it is due to the needle being the wrong size for the nozzle opening, or the point of the needle is the wrong taper. So... yeah, the company is using cheaper materials for the airbrush. But... The last one you tried showed some VERY impressive results for an all-in-one "H Style" beginner airbrush! Nice choice! Still working on my budget to see if I can afford to get this kit. I LOVED the first one... but this is being released at the beginning of Hurricane season (I'm in New Orleans) and I have supplies I need to stock up on... So... We'll see if I can manage this one. Keep up the good work! And if I can't get the kit... no worries. I am sure it will find a good home and bring tons of fun to another grain! ❤️

Will the air brush require any type of like ventilation or respiratory thing thing? Or will the box come with like a shield of sorts to place the figure in while spraying as to not like damage furniture? I’ve never used an airbrush before so I am a bit curious

Have you thought of getting a mixer for your paints... We got a vortex mixer. Works amazing to mix all of our paints for airbrushing, miniature paints and craft paints. Even $ ones lol 😜. It makes sure you get the mixy mixes.

Could you tell what brand that airbrush is? I don't think I will buy the kit, even tho I'd love to, because I've been burnt too many times by surprise custom fees when ordering stuff from North America and I feel that for a package this size I'd have to pay twice its price (it happened once :C). But I've always wanted to try airbrushing and an airbrush that doesn't need a compressor sounds cool.

Im so excited i loved the first one even tho i haven’t used it much yet. Didn’t get to use the first one because my apartment was so small didn’t have much crafting space in my room 😭. It was also packed up for a while because i was moving. Now i have more than enough space i actually have a desk to craft on! Cant wait to use the two kits together!

The mold isn't available anywhere else. The rest, if you shop carefully, you can likely get less expensive, but Jackie's kits are a good deal for what is included. You could always go look up the MSRP to show your parents. (I'll admit, this would be a pricey gift for my kids. Id hold it until a holiday.)

At this point I imagine your are just about finished but is there any way to get a hobby paint shaker in the box? They can be had for under 30$ retail. Nothing fancy. Amazon lists a couple as nail lacker/tatto ink shakers and green stuff world has a spinny style one. There is even a spinny nail polish 'shaker' for under 20.

A note about the silver paint. How it shines or doesn’t shine depends on the substrate. Even though the colors you choose are semi opaque, there are also semi transparent. Swatching the the colors on glossy paper will add extra shine to the silver. Anyone with print shop experience can verify what I said.

I have traditional airbrushes. I saw you use the no name brand brush and have waited and waited for it to come back in stock as a kit, and to no avail! I was so excited for it! But honestly, I'd rather support you as a small business. If I manage to order fast enough this will be my fourth kit of yours, which makes me happy. The first 'crap' kit was for me, the second was for a friend, the third was because I needed a second mold to keep on hand. I'm sure I'll need two of these molds as well. I keep one of each mold for using with food because I don't want to use a resin used mold for food products, clay either. I'm also sure the same friend will also want this kit lol. Anything I can do to help you get sold out lol!

I got my kit delivered and finished watching your instructional videos this week and it struck me that *there's one major inaccuracy* in this video: _both the gold metallic paint and the varnish are marked to NOT be used in the airbrush_. Not gonna lie, it's a disappointment, as I was looking forward to spraying those on. Is this the issue of the device not being powerful enough for more viscous fluids that are otherwise fine in non-portable airbrushes? Does it mean I should not purchase any metallic paints/inks or varnishes for it, even if they're marked as airbrush-compatible? Would you advice against using the shiny ink from the previous kit in this device?

My way of doing things is to just dive in and do stuff. Many times it means I am a little rough because I too have large hands. I was demolding some resin and heard myself say "gentle, gentle." Being a grain has become engrained in my brain. See what I mean 😝😝😝.

Oh my, way back in the day, when I had my air brush, which I still have, we had to mix our own paint, no fun now, unless you are making your own colours....salt...

Jackie, please do a bit more research on air brushes. I know you want it simple but those little handheld things jsut arn't great. If you want it smaller and not a bigger compressor (then hich really isn't that intimidating) I woikd suggest looking into ye little box style. The ones that connect with an airhose. If you go with the little box version you will have to look at an airhose that has an in-line moisture trap too. As fair as the airbrush itself (the part you hold and paint comes out of, bit the compressor) it's wise to look I to a doel action airbrush, which Is what the green one in the beginning of the video is. But there's a bit of a learning curve to it. Push all the way down for air pressure. And then you tilt back for paint. The further back you pull, the wider your spray pattern will be. The less you pull, the narrower it will be. The splotchiness could be one a couple things. The paint isn't mixed enough and the particles are still too big, clogging the nozzle. The tip of the needle coikd be bent (the very VERY important part of the airbrush, which you can remove and check) even a slight bed at the tip of the needle will cause it to splatter. Or you could jsut be using to much pressure at too close to the paper. Which doesn't give the paint time to adhere to the paper and the air pressure causes it to splatter. There arn't any airbrushes with a cap for the tip, that's isn't a thing for a reason as it would cause tip drying and cause yoyr needed to not be able to pull back. You must between colors or long amount of take a paintbrush with airbrush cleaner (very easy to make yourself, some people just strait up use windex diluted with water too) and paint around the tip of the airbrush needle (if you screw off the tip, you'll see the needle, I just leave mine on so it's easier) I woild love if I coikd email you or somehow message you with what I have learned and how you can make this nice and simple but airbrushing does require some know lage of how to properly use and maintain one. I do have a question, maybe i don't understand how things work (autism makes it hard) we are going to have to charge the air brush, are we going to have but an wall adapter for our country? Like if the product is Canadian and Canadian outlets are a different from New Zealand outlets, am I going to need to buy an adapter so i can charge the air brush? Or maybe a grain can help me understand i am bit confused on how this works 😅.

I don’t know anything about air brushes but is it possible that the on the red one it wasn’t the viscosity of the paint but you didn’t put the screw cap back on the paint cup/reservoir thing and that’s why you didn’t have good pressure?

You should still add a silver but for a paintbrush and not the airbrush. Because silver is such a necessary color.
