Great video! Where did you get the adapter for the Bixpy to fit in the Getaway kayak?

It's a Hobie adapter. Pelican drive is the same size as Hobie drive. It might be a little tight but with a little lubrication it will loose up and fit perfectly to the slot.

Are the stabilizers necessary or can you do without them?
@mayskyfishing8501 Жыл бұрын
They are not really needed. I used the kayak for almost a year before adding the outriggers. Never felt unstable without them

Great video! My son bought me the same kayak and your video is the most informative without actually a lot of talking or music 🙂 The side buoys are an awesome idea! Do you think you'll post a future video on how you did that?

Glad it was helpful! I might try to make a DIY video of those side outriggers in few days.

Why do you have the outriggers? I have the same kayak and that thing is super stable. I fish standing up a lot of the time. Just curious. Seems like they would get in the way.

Yes, it is a very stable kayak with 33'' wide. I have been using it without outriggers for months and never had issues. But those outriggers made that stableness to the next level. Now I feel the same confidence standing up as I do in my old town PDL 120. And they don't really interfere paddling that much.

I have a question on why used the NRX rod for that set up or purpose?
@mayskyfishing8501 Жыл бұрын
@@timleng4404 No particular reasons. Just liked the rod, it works well for me and I take it whenever I go fishing.
