😳 I almost fainted when I heard the price of that heated mat, lol. It seems to work well, is very functional, and is a great idea product, but geez. The heat system under the sidewalk is mind blowing to me 🤯🤯🤯! But of course you could accomplish it…. you’re not afraid of hard work and you have a niche for resolving problems! I would be front and center watching 🙂

@@WadaGoodIdea I totally understand! That’s not something you would want to jump into and try to “wing it” 👍🏽. I’m staying here cheering you on even if you decide not to do it 🙂

The price compared to in ground systems is great though.

The heat system under the sidewalks is not mind blowing one bit. Alls they do is take a hot water pipe, a plastic pipe, and wrap it around under the concrete before they pour it. That's it nothing more to it, just a hot water line under some concrete.. we do it out here in the country all the time for our driveways. I have an outdoor wood burner (that sits outside) that heats my whole house, my garage, and it melts the snow off my driveway. You don't use solar power for underground heating 🙄 you have to have a massive heat source. So the lady in this video saying she wants to use solar power for underground heat is out of her f****** mind

Disappointed! Must be turned ON when it starts to snow, which could be all night. If not it takes over 4 hours to melt 3" to 4" of snow. It also started to delaminate within 2 months of use. Formed 3 bubbles, sizes from 1 1/2" diameter to 5" long by 1 3/4" wide. The only good fact, Heat Trax sent a replacement which I'm not sure if I'll use or not.

Such a bad idea for an invention for many reasons. The melted snow turns to ice. Ummm, that seems worse than the snow.... Also, they look really ugly. They use power. Easily stealable. Who greenlit this invention? lol
