You just got me out of the dog house, lol. Purchased a GPS yesterday before I left the Speedrun spot, and the wife was not very happy 😑 I appreciate the support👍 BG4L

Darn! Sorry you flipped and lost the GPS. Not too much damage though considering the flip and crash.

HEY B DO YOU THINK THAT TRIM TABES WOULD HELP STABLEIZE THE VELES 29 IN SLOW SPEED CORNERING? KEEP IT FROM ROLLING OVER. YOU SAID ABOOT ARE YOU CANADIAN EH?
@IRONCLADRC6 ай бұрын
I don't think it'll help with the low speed turns, I found keeping it on plane while turning keeps it from flipping. Basically Stay on the power when turning.. turn your dual rate down and set your endpoints low, restrict the amount of rudder throw

Shitty deal, big B😢 Tether, perhaps to the rudder strutt 👍🤙

Yep, I think that's exactly what's gonna have to happen! Thanks for the 💡 idea! BG4L

I have broken those electronic mounts out twice, hopefully you will make a video showing us your replacement technique. I double bag my GPS then tape it, then tape it on the boat and it floats pretty well just with the bags. As usual love your videos thanks

Yes sir, I'll make a video of the repairs..

I vacuum bag my gnss with the white foam that it comes in . Waterproof, floats and doesn't weight much.

Good idea, I have a vacuum sealer/bagger In the kitchen. Thanks

How 'bout a lanyard on the GPS box (fishing tackle?) that could clip to a solid bit of hardware?
@IRONCLADRC6 ай бұрын
Next time, I'm definitely gonna use a lanyard...

Well that's sh!t you lost your GPS. It might work from the inside of the canopy, as you can see light through it. Try it. I refer to cat drives as arneson drives and not stingers. This is great you broke the cf plate mounts. Take this opportunity and remove all that stuff from the top of the tunnel and put esc's behind the motors. This will lower the CofG greatly and improve handling. Also, like I said before, props should be rotating inwards which will also help with stability. Arneson drives should be set to 0 and you move your batteries to get desired hull attitude.

Bummer, but also reason why i like it in my boat. Just an idea, use hatch as mold to make a window from normal epoxy cloth for the signal. Then it should fit 100%...
@IRONCLADRC6 ай бұрын
I've seen several boats with the GPS "window" wish I had the time to do a project like that. You could probably pull it off with painters tape instead of a mold..
@peteroosterhoff88506 ай бұрын
@@IRONCLADRC thats what i ment. Put some plastic or tape on hatch and do for instance 3 layers 10x10cm cloth were for instance "cockpit" is. I a few hours you have the model and just need to cut (maybe sand it) it and glue it on top. I did it with plexiglas but thats more difficult.... Its just such a bummer to loose stuff.

@peteroosterhoff8850 loosing stuff is the worst part of the boating hobby,, land guys can spend hours looking for something that fell off there rc car Boat guys not so much. When it's lost its gone!
