I loved blockbuster. It was a treat to go and take the kids to pick out a movie. The one where I lived had tanning beds in the back lol. Loved it! I never thought they would go out of business. Technology totally took over that business.

I can still smell the VHS. They have such a distinct smell. I always loved that brand new VHS scent that filled my nostrils when taking it out of its sleeve or case. I really miss those days to be honest! And I have a small stack of video home systems in a box in my closet.

Our mall food court didn't have burgers in the 90s. I would have thought scents like pizza (Sbarro), Auntie Anne's soft pretzels, fresh baked cookies (Mrs. Fields or The Giant Cookie Co), Orange Julius or Jamba Juice and even chocolate and fudge. I think ours had a Panda Express, Subway, a Cinnabon, and Chickfila. But pizza, pretzels and cookies are the main scents that come to mind for me. Personally, I always loved the smell when I walked past Auntie Anne's. As for Blockbuster, ours had a movie theater popcorn machine in it and you could buy a huge bag for like $2. That's what purs always smelled like. All the flannel candles remind me of my grandfather. He loved his flannel shirts, especially his Buffalo check one. And for some reason they always smell like his cologne. The other day I found one at Michael's called Grandpa's Chair that smelled like leather, tobacco, and cologne and it reminded me of my other grandfather. I just couldn't see paying $20 for a rather tiny candle or I would have bought it.

I really try to steer clear of any scented play doh, markers and so on, I have so many allergies that it just gives me trouble to breath, even someone wearing to much purfume gives me an asthma attack.. and I haven’t played with play doh since I was a really young child and I’ve only bought it for my sons for kindergarten and even then I am not even sure they actually played with it, I think they did more creative activities and less sensory ones..

Okay, but why is flannel, the grunge one, a sparkly black? Sparkly black is the antithesis of grunge. Plus, whenever someone pictures a flannel they usually think of it as mostly red.
