Just got hired with a ready mix division for a big outfit here in Oregon. My orientation is next week. Bit late in the season, but looking forward to it! Got a Class A so I might be doing other stuff, same company, in the winter. One suggestion is running a loader and a rock crusher since I grew up on the farm and have heavy machinery exp. too. Now off to watch Tim Taylor add more power with Home Improvement. Hhhhooo Hhhhooo Hhhhooo. Tonka stuff!

RebelSoul I clean one part of the truck every trip, put a little cleaner on when I can. I try not to let it build up on my truck. If it does I break out the good staff, acid lol

Readymix Moe sweet man. The reason I ask is I’ve been driving for about a year now, and I had a decent truck until they put it out of service due to some mechanical issues. So now I have a pretty old truck with some heavy build up. I’ve tried spraying acid and brushing but it’s looking like time to break out the chipping hammers and needle scalers lol

The job requires air in the mix of concrete. It was a state job. If ain isn't at a certain percentage then it's no good to them.

No guarantee yet but you can make 50 or better easy. I made that my first year.

I just started a month ago and I'll be around 52k a year. Some drivers that have been there a few years make 65-75k a year.

He should of added about 1to2 more ounces of air, brought it up to about 6to6.5. Reason being..the state giving you 4.5 to 7.5 on the specs...even if the job is about 15 minutes away, you could beat about 1to 1.5 % air out of the load before it gets to the job and risk it being rejected. I've seen concrete lose it's air content by 3% being 2 minutes away from the plant with low drum resolution.
