Happy that I got a Trail, because my first Trail is definitely overstable. Liking the R2 Tempo and R2 Wave. Interested to try the Eclipse Lift. I could have done without a second Parachute and maybe more colorful discs.

For some reason I struggle throwing beaded midranges (Roc3, Inca, Taco/Gladius). I appreciate you including the Fission Pyro in this review, understanding that the Balance was intended to fill the gap between a Hex & a Pyro. Your review shows the Proto Balance is like a Pyro flight. I slot a Fission Pyro between my Proton Soft Echo & Prism Proton Pyro. The Fission Pyro gives me a similar ending fade as the Prism Proton Pyro yet with a farther push before that fade, which is what I get with Taco/Gladius albeit my poor throwing success. The bead is why I haven’t tried the Crux and won’t go for the future retooled Balance. And I didn’t go for this Proto Balance because I have no need for a beaded ‘Pyro’ 😉 Thanks again for your wonderful content. Look forward to more of your Gyropalooza vids!

My box should arrive next week, really excited. Pretty much every box I've seen on video has had only great discs. I wouldn't want like 3+ overstable drivers, but the variety seems to be great!

My proton pyro is 4 years old and it flys more like a zone now. My max weight neutron vanish is also 4 years old and flys right between a zeus and hades or like a old star shryke.

No golden ticket for me. I got two Hexes, one R2 with a rainbow stamp, and a blue Neutron, an eclipse Proxy, R2 Resistor, Proton Soft Vanish, Plasma Tesla, Electron Terra, and Cosmic Neutron Zenith.

Pretty close, the Pryo and Balance are shallower and I feel like go a tiny bit further.

I didn't want that disc.. I got the lab second & main parachute.. My buddy works in a shop and I got mine early . He opened a white label box not the brick one

Ugh... I'm going to be that guy, but when we say something is more stable, that really needs to mean that it's something like a trail which is not effected by turn or fade as much. Something is very much affected by fade would be Over-Stable. I wish we would maybe use a different word, but something very stable should really mean it flies very straight and not effected by turn or fade. I would call a berg stable or even very stable. I think we all know what you mean which is why it's dumb to complain, however, it does contribute to the confusion on what stable means. I would like to have consistency when talking about what it means when someone says, "This disc is stable". To me that means it flies straight, but I believe the person is often meaning to say over-stable. Just food for thought

Thanks for your input, but I am at the can’t teach an old dog new tricks point when it comes to this. Been playing for 30+ years and we’ve been saying it that way for a while. Kinda like Tee and Hole, we don’t use tees or have holes in disc golf but we all say that.

You are technically correct. Stable means straight, overstable means what people use stable to describe. However, everyone uses stable to say something is overstable. So unless you want to spend hours talking technical definitions and writing paragraphs to people then I'd suggest just falling in line with how everyone else uses the words. When people want to say something is straight, they'll say it's straight. When they want to say it's over stable they'll say it's stable. Up to you though, you can be Mr technical, for me not worth the headache. Also since everyone throws differently it's tough to say how it applies to your throw. I can tell you something is really overstable but if you're throwing 100ft farther than me it probably won't be.

I only would make a suggestion to someone I liked, but I totally understand why it doesn't matter! Keep it up!
