Desi- the serums you talk about really work! I can really see a difference using the pink serum around my eyes- more change than I have ever seen with tretinoin. I had a Dr. Gross led mask and it stopped working after about 18 months. I just bought this one and I'm hoping it lasts!! I also see a big difference using my ZIIP- it really lifts and the results last!! Thanks for your great information. I really appreciate your research. I can tell that you aren't just pitching random products, like some of the other women on YT!

I’ve been using Beauty Bio micro needling before applying my growth factor serum. The GFs penetrate better with a little help. If you really want beautiful skin get on bio identical hormones as soon as you hit peri menopause. Retin A the prescription don’t waste time and money on the OTC not the same. The light here I’ve ordered will report later. I’m 68 no wrinkles, my skin glows and I’m asked on an almost daily basis what I use on my skin.

My hormones are compounded at a compounding pharmacy. I’m on The Wylie Protocol. Basically I’m reproducing the same hormone levels as when I was 30. Started at 48 I’m 68 now. No wrinkles (I do use Retin A). The other lovely things that women put up with I’ve never experienced. Highly recommend. The best thing I ever did🙂

Hey Desi, I'm such a fan of yours. I've always been slightly embarrassed by my obsession with skincare, but now I've met someone even more obsessed than me, I feel proud! I am binge watching your videos, and learning heaps. I need to comment on this one though. I used the Current Body mask for nearly a year, and also bought the Neck & Dec Perfector. I just found the two masks together fiddley to fit, and the ten minute treatment time tedious most mornings. After much research into the subject, I have now bought a light panel (the Hooga Ultra360). Now, I can treat my face, neck, dec and back of hands comfortably each morning with a three minute treatment duration. The panels are more powerful so less treatment time is needed. I have to recommend you try this out. Love from Glasgow
@desistarkАй бұрын
Absolutely you should be proud! There is a lot of useless products and there is nothing wrong with wanting the best for yourself. Thank you for sharing! The new Currentbody is a completely different fit but yes, the 10 min cycle is long for me too. But I can move around with the mask. I have a panel by Maysama and I’ve only used it once. It doesn’t work for me. I can’t sit still for even 3 min. 😄But I’m glad it’s convenient for you. 💛🌷

I used the Omnilux mask for a long time and did not see much resul. Plus, my acne started getting worseso I wanted something with blue light. Then, I decided to invest in the Dermalux Flex. Treatments are longer, but it is nice that it doesn't touch my skin and covers eyes and mouth as well.

Take a look at this.Penn has been using and studying LED for 15+ years. Recent studies have shown that moisturized skin absorbs wavelengths more efficiently. Love your videos ❤
@desistark2 ай бұрын
Thank you! 🌷 Respectfully, I look at the science behind the technology considering my 2 degrees in Science. There isn’t a single legitimate independent study that shows that. The Laws of Physics still apply: light is disbursed and deflected when presented with an obstacle. You only need to apply a gel transparent liquid with therapy with the intent to minimize the impact of light if such light is too strong. So this applies only to very strong light panels. I have the Maysama panel and never use it for that reason. It’s cumbersome and unnecessary considering all other options on market.
@marymarovcihАй бұрын
@@desistark Mel Fisher hi!! Look in to it. I always told clients (and learned myself) that LED is to be done on clean, dry skin. Now I use water based serums (and actually DNA repair enzymes, particularly photolyase bc it’s activated by light … including visible light from red led). I am noticing a dramatic improvement from the combo (in the brightness of my skin AND old scars are suddenly getting even more faint!!) so I’m a believer. Anyway, it appears that hydrated skin scatters light less. It doesn’t have to be brand specific. Maysama has a serum for LED but there are TONS of good options. Anyway, just wanted to chime in as someone who ALWAYS said bare skin…. Anyway, look in to it 😍😍
@desistarkАй бұрын
You are absolutely correct! The clinical study was done on hydrated but not necessarily wet skin. They applied cotton rounds soaked with green tea to the skin for 20 min and after (dry skin but hydrated from the tea) LED therapy. Results show a small enhancement. I may consider doing a video on the context and specifics. I read clinical studies for fun anyway…😄 🌷

Have you tried Maysama mask? I believe they do recommend certain serums with red light to be more effective as well as pulsed light. Watched a Penn Smith video on this recently. Just discovered your great videos today and am now watching a ton of them.
@desistark2 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! 💛🌷 I have the Maysama pulsed panel. The light is too strong and thus you need a gel to disburse and deflect the light. Pure profit for the company. It’s cumbersome, takes space and inconvenient considering the better options available on market. That’s why I never talk about it nor use it. I have 7 LED devices and I’d rank the Maysama last.

Desi have you heard about the JOVS laser led mask? I’ve been wondering about it since it’s blowing up in my feed, lol!
@desistark2 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes, I have. I’m scared to try the Jovs Laser mask. And not only because it gives Hannibal vibes. 😂 They claim there are clinical trials and it’s FDA approved but I cannot find data on either anywhere. The technology behind it is ambiguous and the lack of data concerns me. Laser implies heat and I’m afraid it may do more damage than repair. There are too many unanswered questions. It may be amazing but since I can’t find evidence, I think I’m going to skip it for now.

Hi Desi, I watched your BR la grande serum and creme review and also came across the auteur products review. I initially wanted to purchase the la grande serum and creme but after watching your review on Auteur, I’m a bit torn. Do you still use the la grande serum and creme? How does to compare to the line serum and the density cream from Auteur line. Please let me know your thoughts ❤
@desistarkАй бұрын
Definitely go with Auteur. It’s more effective for lines, wrinkles, lift, etc. and way less expensive than BR. The only benefit of BR is that’s it’s smoother at application. But if you are looking to reverse aging, Auteur is the winner.

What about pulsing/flashing red light? That is what I use and heard it is better?

The short answer is “no”. Scientific data shows that pulsed light is more effective only in laser therapy because it reduces heat associated with damage. I also have a pulsed light panel by Maysama but never use the pulsed setting. 🌷

@desistarkАй бұрын
The Derssee Pro is a mix of blue and red LEDs but still doesn’t contain the deep near infrared light. I’ve never tried it but based on specs, it would be unnecessary to pay $1700 for the old technology. If you want to have dual red and blue, I suggest DrDennisGross LED mask. Botox is the only thing I do in office every 6 months or so (forehead area). They are slightly different. The mask will also help with skin brightness and it doesn’t require any work but the ZIIP works a bit faster on firming. But ultimately the LED is just overall easier to use. I find myself using it more for that reason.
