Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic Gameplay! Today we build the 3rd suspended bridge and see if we can RIDE THEM! We also disconnect the entire base from the hard point and see if the bridges can hold!

i want to see you cut a hole in the middle of the platform, then attach bearing flaps/ trapdoors to the side. then paint the project grey and in the center gate it off with warning signs and whatnot. Then make a metal bomb that you can drop through the flaps, now you got a suspended base to drop endless projectiles down to your enemys! Like so scrapman can see

Since the bridges sort of jut into the base, maybe the bridges lead to a sort of deck or entryway that has a piston lift either up or down to the main base.

scrapman, build an elevator from the ground to your base so the base will be connected to the ground, and it will be aesthetic and efficient

Never had so much fun at seeing someone fail like this series :P For the fake bridge, you could use pistons and bearings to simulate some movements to create the illusion of being suspended and acting on the wind. Also, make a bride larger or a twin bridge for cars xD

ScrapMan you can place solid blocks under the bridges, it will make the bridges more stable + thouse points are almost invisible

Do a huge tree to hold it up, so that way you have great aesthetics and the rope bridges fit in with the theme

you should try to suspend the base again but do it slowly. Delete one block at the top, then the next below it, and so on until the pillar is no longer supporting it or it falls. Doing that would be awesome and you may be able to get it to work actually suspended!

Now that all bridges are attached you should try to make them wider, slowly add width to bridge while its hanging to allow for bigger vehicles to cross. Then upgrade your central base to have a garage for the cars to be parked with a car elevator, or somekind of cool fortress.

SCRAPMAN! it disconnected because it fell too fast for bridges so you should make it fall slower (somehow) and alsso, you should add another bridge. hope it helped! (idea stollen from Blasted Off)

In my opinion using invisible pillar would be the best way to keep the base static. Also, I suggest that the base would look like floating island (which can have pretty house on it).

it would be awesome to have a hot air balloon on top of the base, that way, it somewhat flying would actually make sense. fitting to that would be a steampunk theme for example though other stuff would probably also work

1)Can you detouch the base from the ground and low it with the lift easily? 2) You can build the base like tree house but "surprisingly" there will be some electronic stuff in it...

I also have an idea about the base in its current state. You could let it suspend from the bridges by deleting one piece of the column at a time allowing for a slow fall.

if you repaint the mono wheel, replace the side kick stands with blocks that go 1 block past the edge of the bridge and then go down past the edges to keep it on the bridges.

you know maybe for that other platform idea, with the fake suspended bridge would be good. That off shooting platform could be some sort of garage and/or a way up from the ground using an elevator or stairs. Also the bridge connecting them could be loose just underneath it have some blocks follow the curve of the bridge so both platforms are connected and static.

SCRAP MAN! I have an idea of lowering the plate form with out the glitches. If you keep the pillar and stack a bunch of maxed out pistons (15 blocks) on top of each other, and have about 4 towers of these on each corner (the piston towers will not be connected/welded to the base. This could cause lag though) it will probably help. You would slowly lower the first piston of all the towers in unison, then the second, then third, etc. This way there is less of a chance of the platform glitching out of the bridges, and it is slowly being lowered. If you guys think this will work, try to get/keep this comment at the top of the comment bow please, or don't if you think it's a flawed plan.

Scrap man to lower the base successfully u have to put thrust under the base to lower it slower and the bridge won't glitch out 🤑

The "ring" of the bridge is angled down. So when you attach it tight it wants to curve and has no space to. If you didn't get it: 8:45 make that wood part which is held from cylindrical pipes it will ease everything.

Make the base flying, so that it isn't actually attached to the ground. If you can (without the bridges freaking out), make it so it kinda floats up and down a bit.

use pistons to slowly get the base down so that the bridges won't detach. like put pistons on the base bottom and extend them till they touch the ground then retract then one by one one the slowest speed.

For the next episode, try again to suspend the platform with the 3 bridges but do it slowly with a kind of piston tower wich will be the true atached pillar but do it slowly going down, in so doing, the bridges might not fall like this time because a huge pression is exerced by the speed due to the fall of the plateform and that might work if the platform-fall got a slow speed i think Also, i'm french, so, sorry for my probably bad english and that confused attempt to explain my thoughts x)

You CAN create a lift for make your vehicule on your base

build a platform with pistons extended by default. let the base rest on it. remove the pillar. slowly detract the pistons. that should do it. if not thicken the junctions.( both the bridge attachment and the base hook leaving a gap in between)

You should use this in a multiplayer challenge Also you could put some thrusters on the bottom of the platform with switches and just make a pillar with invisible blocks to create the illusion of a floating platform

You should make a cable car system under the bridges or make one on the side with out a bridge and have the moniwhile veihcle as the the cable car using the kickstands as the connection points or a hang bit built off of it

If i was building this i would connect the bridge to the platform with pistons so that it is truly connected to the base and you can control the tension of it. And with it being a truly connected base and bridge and not hot it is it would be less likely to break.\ So you can try placing pistons on the base so that they can retract flat or to where you want them weld a bridge to that. you would need the pistons to go down or up to the point that you connect to the ground so that you can build on to it and connect it to the ground.

Turn the base into a future type suspended bridge something like that.Or a Flying base with trusters that keep the base on a level that will keep the base in the air and so that the bridges ar as they was like when it was on a pilar.Also get a kontroll room maybe with the trusters and stuff like that. Try lowering the bridge slowly by the main support beam and delete the blocks. Block by block so the bridges don't freak out like the did when you deleted the whole beam

you could replace the bridges with straight beams and they would hold up the platform and you could make a chair with a hook for the bridge and then add wheels inside the hook but on the inside of the hook so you could slide dow the bridge safely

scrapman i just had an idea for the base. the way you said to try and make the bridges straight is possible all you need to do is make a base on each end like you did on the bridge now for all of them, then make a centre base and connect all the bridges and bases together with stairs. maybe when i get scrap mechanic ill go on your discord and send a picture to show what i mean
