Hey Josh. Checking to see how you are doing after Carl passed away? I received news the gentleman I bought my farm from passed on Saturday. He was 85 and farmed his whole life. Big farmer hands. Taught me a lot in the 3 years I knew him. The news really hit me hard. He was the grandfather/father figure I did not have in my life. The epitome of what a man is. Great work ethics (drove his tractor and worked on his farm to the day he passed) and truly loved and cared for his family. I was fortunate to have him in my life for the time I did. I’m flying out to TN for funeral today. Hope you are doing good. Take care.

@ArkansasPilgrim6 жыл бұрын
I had one of those type of dehydrators and I was not fond of it. I used to dry basil in it and it didn't really hold that much, and took way to long to dry. I found that using my electric oven on it's lowest setting, and the door cracked open, was a lot faster, and you can do a lot more at once. Our oven has an indirect heating element in the bottom. If yours is a regular type (you can see the element, just cover the lower rack with foil to keep the stuff from getting scorched during the time the element comes on to maintain the temperature. I put whatever I was drying (herbs, fruit slices, fruit leather, jerky) either directly foil on the racks, on cookie sheets, or on bread/cake racks on cookie sheets. The lowest temperature setting is usually 170 degrees F, but I never had a problem with anything getting "cooked" (especially with the door cracked open). Not complainin', Josh. Just reporting my experience.

Thanks, I immediately took it all apart and put it in the dishwashing machine. But didn't realize where to put that thick fruit roll up plastic thing when I put it back together. I didn't take a good look at how it was in the box. I was going to put that fruit roll up thing on the very bottom. That would have been a mistake. And there is nothing about assembly whatsoever in the instructional manual. I just bought a cheap one, Roswill brand,at Wal-Mart, it's simular though, fyi.
