Testing the Contactron Speed Starter from Phoenix Contact - PART 1

I have a question regarding the wiring. In the manual it shows the reset, speed inputs fed by the 24Vout on the device itself. Is that required or can I use to a +24V from an external power supply to feed those inputs? Are you going directly from an output on the PLC to the speed input on the drive?

Hello Theking196, you can use either the internal 24V or an external 24V you will just need to tie the DC- sides together. So a PLC can control the motor directly. Hope this helps!

I hooked the speed starter to my PLCNEXT and made a quick HMI than I can use on my smart phone
