I'm impressed that the Dyson Air Wrap actually smooths your hair like a Straightener, I would love to stop using the Straightener - it's so damaging. When you tried the Revlon Brush, it seemed much faster and prettier and I'm sure the price is probably a lot better. But, the advantage of the Dyson is that it is heat controlled and will not damage your hair, especially when you have long hair and it takes a little bit more time when you're smoothing piece by piece. Thanks for sharing your video !

I just used mine for the first time, and I am already addicted! Mine was not fully wearable, but it became super smooth and straight in literally minutes. And this is for someone who can't do a blowout to save her life. I will have to straighten it a little, as I still have to practice giving it shape and avoid the flyaways. But this way, I can just use it as a touch-up, until I get skilled enough at using the different attachments. Didn't feel hot at all, even on the high setting. :)

Revlon damaged my fine wavy hair after just a few uses so I returned it. I think it's best for thick, coarse wavy hair that can handle the high heat. I'm going to buy the Dyson because it seems to straighten the hair without the damage.

Did you continue using the straightening brush regularly, and if so, was there significant, noticeable damage to your hair? I'm very interested in understanding whether it's sustainable to use this tool, weekly for a long time, without destroying my hair. Thank you for this.

Went ahead and bought the airwrap based on your review. I have the Revlon and can notice the serious damage it’s starting to do on my hair (I straighten once a week). Despite me taking care of it (Olaplex #3 + LP Restore mask as conditioner and oil serum heat protection). Hopefully the Dyson won’t damage my hair as much 😩😩😩

Honestly I prefer the Dyson firm smoothing brush over the Revlon...the Revlon unfortunately could not get to my roots and my hair was still damp there. With the Dyson, I use the (Dyson) hair dryer first to rough dry then finish w/ the firm smoothing brush. For reference my hair is super super thick, long, naturally course and very tight waves/loose curls.
@cherylynl.tompkins70495 жыл бұрын
Thank you for listening to our comments on your other video demo of Dyson AirWrap and re-doing your hair with the correct brush and technique. You could probably even get your hair straighter if used the brush from underneath and pulled your hair down from the top. It might get you more volume at the roots though. Also, be sure to go back to your other Dyson AirWrap demos and link this updated video (if you haven't already) to let your viewers know that you weren't using correctly yet. My understanding is that your hair should be about 60% damp and they advise using the pre-styling dryer too get get it to that point. Hopefully you'll update using the curling barrels with the 60% damp method. KZbinr Quynh Pham did an update using the barrels after her initial demo because she realized she used them incorrectly. Her results were beautiful and lasted a long time (she did a 20 hour curl update in that video). Her hair is straight thought so I want to see how it goes with curly hair like ours. Take care!
@angelabellavance59785 жыл бұрын
Yes! I came here to say that she should be using the brush from under, not over. It gives lots more volume this way and there would be no need to really pull the hair. I also like to dry my roots a bit with the prestyle dryer before going in with the brush.
@cherylynl.tompkins70495 жыл бұрын
@@angelabellavance5978 She's actually not looking for more volume from her roots. That's why she's used to pulling down from above. It's a technique to straighten her curly hair that is common with using other tools. But if she wants to get the rest of her hair past the roots straight, she needs to go from under and pull down on her hair from above. She has to pull on it because the tension will cause her curly hair to straighten better.

I would love to own the dyson with all the attachments... The first heated brush I used on my hair was the simply straight brush that I purchased a year ago because it takes my hair 2 and a half days to completely dry in the colder months and it took alot longer to straighten my hair then I expected.... This May I was gifted the Revlon one step dryer brush and it takes me 45 minutes less than the simply straight brush to dry my hair. My hair was 70 % dry when I used the simply straight brush... My hair was 70% dry when I used the Revlon one step brush
