Gabriella Cornejo hey there! :) Thanks for stopping by my channel, I really appreciate the question, here’s my thoughts on it: Yep, I heard about this right when it happened...personally, with no scientific evidence or proof of what exactly is causing each person’s reaction to it, I have a really hard time believing DevaCurl “messed up” a batch of products, or the “products were ruined by temperature changes in a warehouse” somewhere. In fact, I’m not sure all the sudden issues and complaints are just 1 thing. I think not every product is for every person, and it seems similar to the issue that happened with the Wen Haircare line years ago, which was another type of low to no lather cleanser. I think the biggest problem is that people are using products that aren’t the right choice for them, and are either having reactions to something in the formula because their skin doesn’t like something, or they aren’t being taught the importance of scalp health and cleansing properly. It’s also impossible to say what the internal health is of each consumer- things like unknown thyroid issues can contribute to hair loss, while allergies and sensitivities are as vast as the ocean. I will say my only issue with the product(and one I think would help quite a few of these cases where girls tried it for a month and believe it ruined their hair.) is that while using the Decadence line to transition my hair to healthy curls worked for a little while, I did experience limpness of my curls after the initial transition,and didn’t realize it was making my curls less curly than they should be. After all the line was for “super curly” hair, and according to DEVACURL, that’s what I thought I should use. Turns out... it’s way to strong a formula for me, it was dumping TOO MUCH of a good thing onto my hair, and weighing it down. My hair stylist recommended I switch to the OPPOSITE end of the spectrum, the Low-Poo! Girl I can’t even tell you how amazing my hair became after that. With all that weight lifted, my hair sprang up. In fact it’s curlier now than when I was a kid! It also cleared/cleansed my hair follicles, so my hair has gotten THICKER, longer and curlier, which is amazing, because my hair was pretty thin using decadence, but I thought it was genetic. The right products for you can go a long way. Now just because the Decadence didn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for a girl with type4 hair, or super coarse curly thick hair. So in my honest opinion, I don’t think DevaCurl is entirely to blame. To use it is still your choice, and can be a really good one, if you are using the best products for you. In full transparency, I just opened new bottles of my cleanser/conditioner, and I’ve noticed the cleanser has a slightly different consistency, and the conditioner seems like it needed to be mixed a bit more, as I saw some little clumps in it(like when coconut oil hasn’t fully melted), so I am keeping my mind and eyes open to the possibility of a product defect, and I’m using my hair as the guinea pig test. I’d anything changes, you’ll see it here! Xo

Did you see a big major difference from using the Dyson compared to your previous hair dryer? Have you ever tried the Deva Dryer? If yes, how do you compare them? You are lovely!

Hey! Thank you so much :) so sorry, I thought I responded to this, and haven't used the channel in awhile, so I missed it. There isn't a crazy difference in my every day routine, after more than a year of using, except if you have really long hair, it may help with drying time, also I do really love the magnetic attachment feature on the diffuser because my old diffuser head used to just slide on. I do highly recommend the Dyson dryer if you're looking for a long term investment in your hair, since the science behind it is made to protect your hair while drying really efficiently. If you blow out or straighten your hair I think there are even more added benefits, because the fan on this thing is SUPER powerful. Like without the diffuser on it, its like a wind tunnel. lol If you're curious, Dyson has a page on their website that talks about the features of the dryer, which is great because it gives specific info on how it works. I never got to try the deva dryer, but I have never heard anything negative about it!

Hey Chrissy! That’s a great question... answer: I think so. As long as you are comfortable with heat drying your hair vs. air drying, then yes! DYSON was made for all types of hair. I use mine on the lowest heat setting, and use the cool blast if i feel like it’s getting too hot for me.
