I installed my upgrade yesterday, and I love it! I am 6'4" 245 pounds and has no problems taking me anywhere. This bike has allowed me to discover areas/trails in Portland Oregon that I never knew existed. So fun!

Bought a Ripcurrent S at the start of 2021-ish. Love it. Only issue is the weight of the frame but I totally get why it's designed that way. Keep making awesome products.

So what was top speed in pedal assist? They claim with upgrade it will go 30 with just throttle. I didnt learn anything.

I'm really surprised at how nimble you are on such a big ebike. I like in the Denver area and want something for commuting and climbing like this for a workout. This really helped me make a decision to pull the trigger on a Juiced Ripcurrent S.

One of the best e bike rides I have seen. Yo'ur very good on such a heavy bike. I just got mine last week and will be doing a review on The Ripcurrent. I only have about 400 miles on the bike but it's now my favorite rear motor bike. I really like what these guys have done., Oh and you are crazy... in a good way...

any e bike from juiced is very well built solid assembly was a breeze needed another person to put the front wheel on and your off to tear it up. love my hyperscorpion don't want to get off it . just want to keep cruising. runs smooth with no hiccups it gets up to speed really fast with no problem . KEEP ON E-BIKING AND HELP SAVE THE BIG BLUE PLANET GOD KNOWS IT NEEDS IT

In reality the original purchase should have been with the upgraded version. You'll need to get the rest of upgraded pieces required to fully take advantage of the controller upgrade. Use Grin technologies when purchasing new software.

@@erpringle well it's been installed and so far I like it. You don't have to use it's full potential. There are other modes than just R. So far the watt output is the same in those other modes. You can get a lot of mileage if you want to.

I don't know if anyone else noticed but he went 8 miles on 5 volts. That would figure out at about 25 miles per charge if you are lucky and Tora is a lite weight so it must be the wind right. I'm sure they have some kind of excuse, they always do.

These are incredible speeds for an ebike. Cruising close to 30mph on an 80 pound bike is no means efficent. The stock controller will be much more efficient.

It looked like he kept the throttle hammered most of the way up to the top. I have the 2021 version (750 watt hub motor) of the RCS and mine has just over 4000 miles so far. I can ride mine on sport mode and use the throttle all I want and burn through a charge in 25 to 30 miles. Riding in pedal assist 2 will stretch that out to 45 miles. I rode 53 miles once riding in pedal assist 1 and 2. Not much hilly terrain to worry about. I'm 275lbs.

​ @reddingpepper2021 Agreed! It should have been installed with the new motor. Without it, the new motor performs just as the old 750W motor did. You need lots of patience and very small hands to swap out controllers--not to mention the extra time as well as money for the "upgraded" controller, including tax and shipping fees. You may be a good engineer, Tora, but this marketing scheme reeks of incompetence and greed.

The problem is, he's not a good engineer. If you put this controller on your bike, you'll get about 25 miles per charge pedaling and that's a fact. I don't know what they are doing when they program their controllers but they are not doing something right. Maybe they should hire someone that actually knows what they're doing.

For you people that don't know what you're looking at, this bike is doing 26 mph and the efficiency is not what I would be looking for. This bike is getting anywhere from 30 to 60 wh/ mile and that is not even close to efficient. With a 19.2ah battery your looking at maybe 20 miles on a charge and believe me, I'm cutting a lot of slack when I say 20 miles on a charge and that's pedaling. Whoever is programming these controllers needs to go back to school. I can't even believe you're showing this but most people don't know what they're looking at anyway but I do. These guys have know idea what they are doing. My ripcurrent is getting 24wh/mile and I feel like that's inefficient as hell and this bike is way beyond that. If that's the best these new controllers can do, I wouldn't suggest it. Get a controller that you can hook up to a computer and program yourself or you can have someone that knows what they're doing program it because these guys clearly don't. I'm sure they have some kind of excuse for it though. 8 miles on 5 volts, do the math. If you are really lucky, you'll get 25 miles on a charge and that was pedaling. Nice job guys, I'll build my own thank you very much. I'm very interested to hear their excuses like, it was really windy, I used the throttle a lot, etc., etc. Regardless of what your excuse is that bike is a battery killer and I was stupid enough to be suckered into buying 2 of them but I will do whatever I can to let people know what a P.O.S. they are. I tried to get them to send me another controller because I think something is wrong with mine but now that I see this video it's pretty apparent that it's just the way they program their controllers or there's a flaw in them because they should be way more efficient than that.

I just did 20 miles with my rip current s and still have 3/4 battery left and it wasn't fully charged 😂 its a great bike maybe if you just use throttle all the way, but even then 10 miles was only throttle so it's amazing you should get one while they are on sale

I got mine to 38. It depends on the pedal effort, but the motor was really whining. In R mode, the acceleration is amazing and I was jumping the front wheel on each turn of the pedal. Going up inclines is easier but going up longer hills, it can struggle a bit, but still better than the stock controller.
