In this video, I take out the Furious Road Warrior Elite AWD ebike and do top speed tests in the different motor configurations, including rear wheel drive (RWD), front wheel drive (FWD), all wheel drive (AWD) and a new motor setting not yet known, but I'm calling it "haul" mode. This was a fun video to record, check it out!

As the owner of a Philodo H8 that has dual 1000 watt nominal, 1500 watt peak motors... I've experienced everything you tested on this. My bike matches everything that TailHappyTV did when he tested the same bike

That must be a TON of raw power. Are you able to switch to front wheel drive?

@@RydinNStyle no just rear and dual, it tops out at 35 mph on full throttle

Good video showing the different all wheel drive modes. What did not make sense was that the bike kept basically the high end speeds regardless of the pedal assist number you were using. I would have expected lower peddling speeds based on the lower peddle assist levels used. It seemed you were going as fast in level 1 as you were in level 5. Am I missing something? Are the peddle assist levels programmable so that each level puts out different power or speed?

That was what I was trying to portray, how the different PAS levels seem irrelevant as performance was the same in PAS 1 & PAS 5.

I have the 2023 version....you are not speed limited in pas settings BUT the pas settings control the amount of motor assistance. So---it is easier to reach 35 mph in pas 5 than pas 1. Higher pas also is higher wattage and quicker battery drain.

I think I understand your explanation, but I don’t think he was peddling any different in level 1 vs 5 & achieved similar speeds. I will let Him confirm my suspicion.

@@rickbarber8399 ...yes...he will have to say if he felt more or less resistance. I rarely ever take it out of PAS 1 because I like to pedal. I can pedal mine 43 mph.

Yes, it seems the real setting is the sensitivity of the torque sensor versus a cadence sensor, where speed limits are capped in different PAS settings. So that difference is noticeable to pedaling, and I get full power in the throttle as well, regardless OF PAS level.

I feel top speed of 37 or 38 mph is plenty for dual wheel motor bikes. If you want a street racer you can go all out and put a 6,000 watt direct drive on a bike. You get the better hill climbing and take off power with this bike and plenty of speed for 90% of people. Up to 35 mph it will win a drag race with just about any other 60V bike sold with just single wheel motors.

It feels like the new standard is now 60v, dual battery ebikes reaching that pinnacle top speed of 40mph. You're right, for the average consumer, 35-40 is plenty of speed and I love having different motor options as well.
