Great review! I was actually gifted one of the first production run Mt Laguna knives by Wingman115. I too got bit by my blade the first day I took it out on a bowhunting trip! Although I am more of a 5 inch blade kind of guy when it comes to an all-around outdoor knife, this Mt Laguna has won me over. Even though the Work Tuff Gear Kydex sheath that comes with it is very well made and highly serviceable with many carry options, I went ahead and ordered a Yellow Hawk Customs Outdoors Kydex sheath, made by Doug Wilson.

Rarely do I like a knife outside my ideal blade shape which is very difficult to find however the Mt. Laguna has all but one of the features I prefer. Even more is the choil is on the handle not the blade with the blade full length edge. Big plus! I'd buy this one Bryan!

Just bought this from Amazon. Great knife, but I am not impressed with the holster system. I dont like the idea of the sheath being attached to a separate buckle by two screws. I have lost a couple of good folding knives in the field from the belt clip screws coming loose when I least expected it(I know, I know... Loctitite, right?) All the same, I wish this came with a simpler, more reliable Kadec holster that form fitted onto my belt. Other than that, It looks solid as a crow bar, fits my hand great and looks like it will be a useful blade.

Purchased 2 of these knives. Was waiting for their release. They are absolutely gorgeous. Sadly, I returned one of them because the handle and choil on both are WAY TO SMALL for my hands. I wear large size leather gloves, not XL. I found that the handle kept moving my hand up on to the blade. My son tried it and came to the same conclusion. We set it aside. This is barehanded, with gloves on it is even worse. The sheath fits perfect. I own 7 work tuff knives and love 6 of the 7. This is the smallest. I kept one because it is a very cool knife. It will go in a box, and not be used. I do not like their tek lok and wish it came with belt loop instead. If the choil was a little bigger or non existent and the handle was about 1/2" longer the knife would be a 8 or 9 for sure, it's a bit heavy in a good way and built like a tank. When I grip it, my index finger sits on top of the choil notch. The grip size is perfect, just not long enough, if that makes sense. To Bad.

We greatly appreciate your honest reviews; I'm a long time fan. Why would you set such a bad example to kids that will watch this video with all the joking about bleeding? Making a mistake like that is not something to take lightly, it is an operator failure - that's on you. Absolutely nothing to laugh about, nor show on camera. When this happens to you again (understood you will) - just stop the video, fix yourself, and start over after you are no longer bleeding. Much respect to you, and even your half-asses style - we dig it. Just please do better, and be safe; we want you sticking around well into the future. Thank you sir.

@timbo43744 жыл бұрын
Although 20 years ago, Taiwan put out a lot of cheap garbage, those days are long gone. They now make some of the best knives you can buy. Spyderco's top of the line models are made in Taiwan, and they are better quality than their USA made line. Cold Steel makes the vast majority of their knives in Taiwan, and their knives are tough as nails,. Work Tuff knives have some of the best heat treats of any makers I've used. As much as I hate to admit it, they have seriously stepped up their game.
