It's my first bait caster also I put braid on it and I caught a lot of small bass and plenty of huge mud fish they were disappointing but I mean it holds a lot of weight. And I love it really smooth and durable

Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could kzbin.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.

Psreston bro that's an amazing bass,i've never caught one that big,I think my record was about 3.5 to 4lbs and he hit when the bait was on the way down,didn't know he was on there at first lol,I did a screen shot of it looking for pics to do a laser engrave. Take care

I just got the spinning combo is worth the $69 for the Lew's Xfinity size 30 reel and medium fast IM7 rod. I don't know if I want the baitcaster 🤔 and just found just the rod for $25 for a extra rod just in case I brake a rod. How long is it at least us a school ruler 📏

Why do people think expensive wins it all i knew a friend that caught a musky a 57inch musky on a 50$ combo had a 12lb line closed face reel and a cheap medium rod it matters about the angler if the angler does enjoy fishing and loves to catch fish then the angler will be very carful about fishing instead of strong arming the fish to try to get it in within 2 mins you take about 20mins to bring it in and if need to be you take an hour this Xfinity rod can catch a 50lb catfish if the user is up to the challenge then this rod and reel can as long as you have you drag set low enough so i dont care if the fish is 100lb and you have 10lb line if you set the drag good enough you can reel in what ever sized fish you want......these fishing poles that are 200 or 500$ baitcaster combos they are over priced junk not needed..........In the right hands a baitcaster you got off the website wish can catch 100lb musky i mean its going to take a long time and you may need a boat to chase the fish down but you can do it spending 200$ isnt needed this rod or the abu garcia blackmax for 60$ the black max willl do it all with 18lb drag with 50lb or 60lb line you can catch the earth and reel her in.............
