Honestly it's pretty fantastic. It's not very AFK but there are a number of strategies that you can use. And it's random enough that it doesn't stay stale. Frankly it's a fantastic piece of content especially considering the alternative way to train Edit: Make sure you have access to as many alters as you possibly can. It won't let you use altars you can't naturally access

Couple more tips that I picked up on: you can right click the deposit box within the mini game to instantly deposit all of your runes and you can right click any of the altar portals to stop talismans for that type to stop dropping which is beneficial if you don’t want to get air altar talismans for free entry of the air altar. Also, for those of you who constantly have the app crash while on iOS, turning your fps down to 15 works for the time being.

I'll tag on another tip: they recently changed the post-runecraft delay so you can now empty pouches or leave through the portal immediately after interacting with the altar! No more awkward waiting for the cooldown before continuing on, previously only possible while crafting combination runes. However, I believe the delay is still present somewhere (maybe zmi?). Edit: I think they removed it everywhere so not even zmi has delay, though I haven't confirmed.

I have to say, I absolutely love this minigame. It's not as straightforward as todt or temp and takes a while. It feels like runecrafting while also not. The pet is one of my favorites and i'm definitely spending a couple hours there every day until I get it. Pet hunting for life.

Tip on the talismans! Instead of destroying the ones you don't want, you can right click the statue for that altar and use the "toggle talisman" option. Also I can't believe how lucky you were with the needle!! I'm 150 loots in without seeing it 🤣 I'm only 80 RC too though, so not like I could use it if I got it either.. getting 86 for the Karamja Diary regardless 😋

Graceful is not required imo. I've been wearing prospectors gear and varrock armor. No issues at all with run energy at 70 agility.

You dont actually need graceful, your run energy gets restored during the minigame. You can bring prospector instead. Also celestial signet works here

Also you can toggle on and off each rune type of the portal talismans by right clicking on the portal and selecting the toggle option (I turned off everything that doesn’t give overcharged cells)

If you're taking the Lunar spell book you should use Magic Imbue. The hybrid runes give competitive xp rates and are always better gp than their regular counterparts. Plus Ironman accounts can finally get some other than dust runes lol.

I have noticed graceful isn't really needed if your agility is high enough. There's enough standing in place I've never gone below 50 energy but maybe that's because I'm bad at it iunno.

I feel like people use the strong-overcharged cells on the guardians and should be using the weaker - normal ones for the guardians and then use the three tiers of cells for the shields as people are using the strong -overcharged early and then there’s no Shields to fix for the fat exp

i dont think this is accurate , i got 81 pearls in around 12-13 games so its defo rng dependant. even then i feel like people don't realise that each part of the outfit gives the kebos diary elite reward but everywhere, 60% everywhere is insane . something that strong should require a solid grind.

@@Veganphobic yeah as a UIM I would say you should only be doing the minigame if you're prepared to grind out one piece at a time so you can make progress. I wouldn't think holding beads in 1 spot would be too bad though, especially since it'll be used for your most valuable skill in endgame

@@some1fromfin depends on if you play to afk blood runes in your down time post 99. 95-99 is like 4m XP so that's around 66 hours of playing , you will defo get 3-4 pieces by then. It's defo more valuable the earlier you get it or the earlier you start the grind so you can do 77 onwards with the outfit

Through my own experience you definitely do not need 250 crystals in fact I think 150 is plenty, by the time you’re crafting and submitting the first load you can get access to portal. In your clip you were making them when the portal appeared which means you wasted time and fragments

Feel like loot keys and Pj timer update is causing voli and harm orbs to slowly trade prices. The loot pile rush with harm is useless now basically a pvm only weapon or if ur ina straight up 1v1 I guess

It’s a fun mini game! I’m 54RC as of today, getting around 21-22k exp per hr with just a chisel, gear, and a pickaxe. For the future, I hope Jagex continues to work on this mini game to improve exp rates and increase rewards. I’d like to see a buff in exp rates by 12-20k for mid level skillers. I enjoy it the game, it makes you love to RC now, I wish they make slight improvements that’s all.

I think the xp rates are perfect where they are. You shouldn’t be getting 33-42k xp per hour at 54 rc, thats faster than any other method. Im getting about 46k per hour at 86 RC. The progression and scaling is perfect.

I didn't have a lot of trouble getting the items for death tally, but I prepared a lot in advanced. If you have extra points I'd do it, but it's pretty expensive.
