@@ZephyrDTV poor take imo, grinding for the sake of grinding makes no sense. Boss loot is mostly hot trash, by the time you're comfortably doing ubers you're just hunting for a GA on your unique. I've got a stash tab full of boss mats (including stones) that i'll never use because the time invested relative to power increase isn't worth it.

I believe the Stygian Stone drop rate is 0.125 * TIER + 5%, where TIER is the pit tier. So for tier 75, that comes out to 14.375%, which lines up with your drop rate of 15/100. This equation also roughly matches what the Diablo IV devs outlined in the patch notes: 0.125 * 1 + 5 = 5.125% for Tier 1 0.125 * 40 + 5 = 10% for Tier 40 0.125 * 100 + 5 = 17.5% for Tier 100 0.125 * 200 + 5 = 30% for Tier 200

If you ran it in a group and weren't the person who started the pit you get half the amount of loot, if you ran it solo you just had bad luck and need to try again

My friend ran lvl 61 for a day and for 30 stones. Amd i run multiple 100s and get 2 a day. He probably runs his 61 close to hoe fast i run 100. So im going to start running the lower levels and see if the drops increase

with my barb I clear t89 in around 3-4mins each netting 48 neathiron, after about 2 hours I have accumulated roughly 1500 neathiron and 3-7 stones, pre patch I was running t79 with 38 each and only 2 or 3 stones dropped my whole time running pit I would only get them from iron wolves wrld boss and events here and there...... it is definitely fixed and way better then it was edit: I had not realized pit had gotten this easier I now am going to run t100 in 3-4 mins and try for a new highscore lmao

This is the most rare item now, for me anyway. I've done allsorts. One Helltide (with Profane Mindcage active, just to be sure). Nothing. Did countless pits, nothing. I either have the worst luck or something's amiss. Sucks all the life out of the game!!

Such a timesink for such little reward...I burnt through around 22 stygian stones in 15-20 mins or so and barely got anything useful from the runs its just not worth the time (for me at least)

the fact we have to grind a dungeon to get a stone to craft an item eventually is just more lame than letting you kill the bosses without mats with a low % drop chance the fact they gate ubers behinde silly materials to spawn teh boss is the fact your now grinding pits for stones its liwk wtf kind of fun is that id much rather grind the boss a 1000 times if i wished than have to go around solo trying to get the materials to spawn teh damn thing its just stupid #

This is so dumb. I cant believe in a game about grinding, I have to grind. I work 7 jobs have 4 wives and 18 children. I only have 2 minutes to play every week. I should be able to log in, click a button, have a level 100, all the best gear, 1mil of every material, 999 bil gold, when I load up tormented bosses they should be free, insta die and drop every uber in the game at once, with all quad greater affix. You should be able to pick what stat you want when you temper, randomness is bs and shouldnt be in the game. Nothing should cost gold that's ridiculous.
