Tama have introduced a revolutionary new high density bale twine, designed with shock dampening so that it can absorb high loads without breaking. I test this by trying to pull the JCB Fastrac with the Ford TW25!

@@martynp8897 I did do a tug of war between the two about a year ago, not full throttle but they are quite evenly matched 👍

When I was young and stupid. The local village fair had a tug o war. Us young fellows were like bean poles, we were put up against the champions. At the fair was a steam traction engine. I was anchor man. As we were about to pull , the heavy weights were just about to dig in. At the last moment I tied our end of the rope to the steam engine. Had a few laughs. We had a re-run. Needless to say we were dragged across the paddock.

We always used the thinnest string when the bailer was new, as the baler worn / got older we would use slightly thicker string. The knotters wear and the thick string would grab in the knotters and tensioners.

Damn ! All I wanted to see here was the JCB pulling the TW to see the difference ! Another interesting thing would have been to make the equivalent rope in standard string. Hopefully the video does its job as an advert for Tama.

Never mind the twine. What we really want to know is could the Fastrac move the TW with its handbrake engaged? Nice to see you and Kurt at the Lamma show today, btw.

In all my time on a 90x120 baler I am not aware of having a single string break, It was always the knot that let go.

How many strings where used for the test? I have made once a 3 strand rope from about 100 strings baling twine, a lot of work.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Only a farmer/you could think of such a way to show that twine off! Come on how long did it take you to make that, how much twine was involved? And more importantly have you kept it as a tow rope for any of your machines getting stuck?😂
@GeorgeSaunders6 ай бұрын
It did take a fair bit of time to make the rope, but bugger I wouldn't hesitate to use it to pull a stuck machine 👍

When I was really hot 2 harvests ago we was baling fine in the hot 30°c days on farmers twine swapped to tama and bales was blowing up as they come out the baler swapped back to cortisa and farmers and fixed the problem like you said nothing worse than re baling bales
@GeorgeSaunders6 ай бұрын
@@phillipscrimshaw3646 I agree it's so frustrating, it sets you back so much rebaling broken bales. It sounds like you just needed a stronger version of the twine, honestly this impax stuff is very impressive but if another twine works for you that's good 👍
