Bought the regular ball, with the opening match details printed on it. brought it back to the States and played with it as soon as I got back. So many people thought I was insane, because it was going to be worth so much money down the road

100%. I had a Jabulani for a couple years, it was actually a blast to bring out to pick-up matches just for the sheer fun of people trying to make it do crazy stuff. Lasted about 2 years before some clown stole it out of my bag.

Man making me all nostalgic. When I was in 5th grade I begged and begged for the gold World Cup ball and I got it. It counted as Christmas and birthday. I carried it with me every single day to school. I didn’t let anyone touch it for like 2 months. Then we lost a ball during recess and I had mine… we played with it. I ended up keeping it for years, then it slowly fell apart because of how much I used it. Reminding me of times before worries. Damn
