Good demonstration for newbies , how to practice at home with their machine . Bury stuff and then find it . as a last resort , read the directions !

bought one and its complete junk.. I tried to discriminate, notch and jewelry only..I didn't want to find old nails and pulltabs.. I didn't find any coins or jewelry only roofing nails and gutter/window trim!. Not to mention it will find a strong target and give me a 95 signal..I move the coil away from the target and bring it back and get nothing! Then holding it 3 feet off the ground it randomly beeps

Maybe you have a bad detector. I would send it back and get a refund or a new one.
