Loredana is an absolute beast, beating or almost rivaling many men's considering hand size is an enormous advantage on grip test and 100% of them have larger if not much larger hands

@@-angeldust you noob or something? Did you skip middle school where they teach how simple mechanics and simple machines work? Imagine you grip a bigger bar than olympic bar, it will slip faster. Because your fingers cannot overlap as much in thicker bars.
@dongholio707 Жыл бұрын
I have no idea why, but for some reason I'm assuming that NOT having freakishly large hands is an advantage on this particular grip test.

Did you adjust the dynamometer to match the individual's hand size? Very important to do so.

I'm surprised at how spread out the results were. I expected the "weaker" to be stronger. Also, it would have been fun seeing the discrepancy between the left and right hand

Would be fun to have the weight class also noted on the list, it looks like there's somewhat of a correlation like in the lifts :D The doctor was super impressive.

There are some factors may influence positively/negatively in a test like this one, for example: if the athlete was "cold", was midtraining or had already finished the session. When the athlete is not warmed up probably he wont express the same strength as he/she is warmed up (same logic as he/she wont lift 100kg snatch in his/her first rep). Nevertheless, testing after having the session finished may impact as well, since the athlete might not have used straps and have the grip strength fatigued. Usually in research setting, participants do 3 sets in each hand. Also, as someone said in another commentary, the size of the hand make it easy/harder to grab the device. I know this is not a research, I'm just answering the request you made in the beginning of the video. I loved the video, very interesting to see these numbers! Speaking personally, I'm recreational weightlifting athlete, 92kg and I have done this test several times in clinical setting (I'm physiotherapist). My max was 67kg 😅
Very fun! next time do the water bottle flipping Lasha and the other guys were doing...

Putting time stamps was created so you could watch easier exactly what you wanted even if you didn't know the content of the video. Putting them wrong not only beats the purpose of it but indeed ruins the experience since even if you want to see something specifically you can't. I could suggest take your time to make them correctly or not make them at all. Interesting video nonetheless.

Even the first result with Toma Loredana Elena's grip test was very impressive. 160lbs? It might even be enough to close a Captains of Crush 3 gripper (its RGC rating is somewhere around that range) I expected Lasha's grip to be higher though as the reigning greatest weightlifter of all time...

The device is meant to be held at a 90° angle with the elbow bent because once you straighten out the arm, you engage the upper arm muscles as well as the lower arm muscles and give a large advantage to the hand strength
