I know this is old, but just for anyone in the comments reading if they watch this video - nothing with sulfur should ever be applied if it’s going to be over 80 degrees over the next two weeks, or truthfully even longer because it often won’t wash off all the way and as soon as it gets hit by sunlight it gets hot and will burn your plants. Same with neem oil, unless you’re using it as a soil drench. But the premade neem oil will stick to the leaves and burn really bad in the sun.

@@GopherYourself-qd5drIf other less extreme measures haven’t worked, I use products with Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt) or Spinosad like Captain Jack’s products by Bonide. I’ve also used 8 also from Bonide. But I never apply them to plants in flower and only in the evening. I don’t want to harm the pollinators or beneficial insects if at all possible

If you use that dry Spinoza bottle correctly it works just fine. It is a duster bottle with flexible plastic walls. Use your fingers and squeeze it like the „duster“ you had mentioned while describing this. Hold it vertically with the opening facing up and squeeze the bottle sides in quick strong intervals. The left over air in the bottle is your friend.

You mentioned prepping your soil. Could you make a video this fall about prepping soil? I’d love to see what you do. And any suggestions for good alternatives to chicken manure?

Bonide Tomato and Vegetable spray with pyrethrum also contains sulfur, which allegedly kills some insects, mites and controls fungus. It seems a good combination

Agree 100% good soil makes the difference, I have been using cold pressed neem oil as a soak and its been great. Some plants didn't like spraying on the foliage but the soak method is fine.By what I've read dosage is half recommended strength neem oil mixed with a little detergent then the water then soak the base of the plant ,the neem is drawn up the whole plant and it is supposed to last much longer.Plenty of information out there look it up.

I haven't found neem to be very practical. It works but you have to work really hard at it. You have to apply it often, once a week minimum, and you have to apply it all season long, not a one and done.

07/04/24 I was checking my squash today, and I found brown eggs and a squash bug laying eggs. I thought it was a stink bug, but after researching, I found out that the eggs and bug were a squash bug. Any time you see eggs on the back side of your leaves, you need to remove them. It only takes approximately 10 days for the eggs to hatch and become infested with squash bugs.

With 100 percent cold pressed need oil its best to have the azidiractin or however you spell it. But you have to mix it eith a soap to help it bind with water. Using unscented dish soap is recommended

Copper is the fastest corroding true element in market. It's excellent for cactus and trees. Bushing farm and this rail press. Ants! In NC this is BAD. Vaseline around the base stem and peppermint. If you have an aphid issue. You have an ant issue
