Hi Erik, your track plan is looking good, it a better size now. Finally you will be able to run 2 trains at the same time. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

Hi Paul, yes, I want a layout that has enough playability but is small enough to move around easily. 128x81 is a size I can take around without help. I will use 4 mm multiplex on a light timber frame and with detachable legs. So easy to move around. And it has two loops and three sidings, quite a few possibilities to run my trains. By the way, together with the new track I ordered a Dapol kit for a Blue Circle cement hopper... But first the new layout 😊 Thanks for watching! Erik

An interesting plan there. I like the loco. it is number 3 Bodiam as it ran on the Kent and East Sussex Railway in the UK. That is the railway I volunteer on, where I am a Stationmaster and booking clerk actually AT Bodiam station.

Looks good so far. Always good to have 2 circuits with a controller each, to have passing trains. As you say, leave enough room on straights for a station. Happy modelling 👍

That's a good plan, in future I'd like to get some radius 0 track for the inner line on my 90x100 cm layout.

@@patricksmodels In your current layout you could fit the smaller Fleischmann radius (it's even smaller than this Märklin K-track).

I'm liking the look of this! I'm thinking of a 1-off small scale 00 or TT:120, but the range of products for TT:120 worry me. This looks really good for a compact 00 Gauge Layout! Looking forward to this buddy!
@railway18714 күн бұрын
@@TheScottishModelRailwayGuy I think TT is quite limited. Especially very little affordable secondhand rolling stock to get. I was considering N-gauge, but also in N the availability is a bit of a problem. And I can do maintenance and small repairs of OO-locomotives, but I can't see how I would repair these miniature N-scale locomotives. So I decided to stick to OO. I will start building this layout during the Christmas holidays. I will try to upload a few videos as the built goes. Thanks for watching!

@@ArcadiaJunctionHobbies I am also considering to make part of the largest radius isolated so I could switch it on / off and have a locomotive waiting there while a shunter is connecting rolling stock to it.

Thanks, Valentin. I like finding solutions for making a model railway on a very small space. I hope it convinces other people who dream very hard of having a model railway, but think they don't have the space for it. 🙂

The only drawback of the plan when You have two trains, running different direction, You can not put them from one oval to another :-)
@railway18713 күн бұрын
@@railroadhistory Thanks for your comment! Indeed, that would be a short circuit then? I am starting to think now: if a locomotive runs from one oval to the second, so over the isolated joint between the connecting points, will it not cause an overload when its wheels will connect the two circuits? It would receive 16V from one circuit and 16 V from the other? Would that be 32 V, so an overload?
