On Qd1 played quickly wich is not the best move black missed the "simple' Nxe5 wich equalises easily. Even Rd8 is interesting but Be7 is quite dubious.

06:44 A better move for white was knight E5, then after bishop D6, white plays bishop G5.

He must be, he messed up once in a life time opportunity, except Anand no one played against Magnus twice..

He earned the amount of 800.000 euro at the Wolrd champ match, as the runner-up. You are the one depressed, not Nepo.

@@kirthikanthn7834 Anand didn't win the Candidates twice in a row. He won in 2014 (to challenge Carlsen for a re-match), but the previous edition of the Candidates (in 2013) had been won by Carlsen himself, since Anand was then the champion.

@@Pacalolo04 Right, my bad.. So I could say no one was able to play magnus twice in a World Championship match twice other than Anand. 😂 As far as Nepo he didn't look depressed as such. However, he missed a great chance.

@@kirthikanthn7834 I tend to agree with you. To get second place in a World Rapid Championship (and in tiebreaks) topping Magnus, you can't be that deep down in depression. I'm sure the Dubai affair was emotionally pretty tough on him, but he seems to be coping with it rather well. Not like Caruana who, by his own account, was very deep in depression for almost a year after losing the match to Carlsen.

Yes. White was playing for a win, but finally could not make any progress. You can recognize the draw offer by the questioning gesture.

Rh6 Be3 Re6! holds, but I doubt that both players had seen this, and anyway it was worth a try, maybe in conjunction with c5-c6.
