The oven guard things wouldn’t not get hot. I think the point is that it is a less dense material so it will do less damage when touched. You dont have it there with the intention to touch it you have it there so that when you accidentally touch it you get a first degree burn vs a second or third. It is quite literally the difference between getting burned by a red hot poker and a piece of rubber. One will do more damage and if you are going to get burned you might as well take the lesser of the two.
@alazaelong2 жыл бұрын
That's what I was thinking. It's isn't there to not get your burned it is there to cause less of an injury or burn.

Cold brew takes TIME! The preground coffee is too fine, which is why it didn’t come out. You need a coarse French press grind. And I have a glass pitcher to pour it in, so you have some to drink while your next batch is brewing. It’s not too much work, it just takes time.

Cold brew is meant to give you a smoother less acidic coffee. If you are good with hot coffee cooled down then that's awesome. But if you need to have less acidity in your brew, cold brew is the way to go. You just need to know that advanced prep is totally worthwhile.
@susanpettett12112 жыл бұрын
I have the same exact cold brew coffee maker and I personally find it great! I didn't see it on your video, and I don't know if you did it, but the instructions should have stated to occasionally gently shake it back and forth for the time that it sits in the refrigerator. I did that and it turned out great.
@kaylaherfi7592 жыл бұрын
You must drink some very strong coffee because that cold brew pitcher is supposed to be making a concentrate that you can then add water to dilute to your liking. I'm not sure why it was so light after brewing it for so long I have that same pitcher and personally I add a little water straight onto the grounds to make sure they saturate properly and shake the pitcher every like 4 hours to make sure they keep staying wet and not just the outer layer of grounds is getting brewed. I prefer the flavor of cold brew vs iced coffee that was brewed hot then cooled, much less bitter

I have a Keurig that has an iced coffee button. It’s amazing. I definitely recommend. It also came with a strainer thing for regular ground coffee so I don’t have to buy the K cups. The water isn’t super hot like a regular cup so the ice stays iced for a while. It’s Delicious and I recommend it
@emily_gross19902 жыл бұрын
The best iced coffee recipe requires coffee ice cubes. Get a silicone ice mold to make things easier. Then put the frozen cubes into a cup of milk. You can add any sugar or flavors to the hot coffee before it freezes. I do this a lot and keep the cubes in my freezer. I pop them out of the cube molds and put into a ziplock or container to save.

I use a Mr. coffee iced coffee maker. Came with a tumbler and it's the quickest way I make iced coffee. No putting it in the fridge or freezer. The tumbler has a line for water that you pour in the maker, then you fill the tumbler with ice up to the ice line. Put in coffee grounds of your choosing into the maker. It brews it right into the tumbler that has ice in it and once it's done, pour in whatever else you want in it. Stir. Lid on. Enjoy. Takes legit 10 minutes and is delicious every time 🤷🏻♀️

My mom got one of those bag holders from Wish. It works pretty well and has 2 things to go over cabinet doors. They are wider so they fit pretty much any door. Although hers only is 1 piece so you have to put the plastic bags on it in interesting ways so they don't fall off.
@deedrahawk46912 жыл бұрын
Rachel honey… cold brew has to be made with special coffee specifically made for that. Also cold brew is way less acidic than hot brewed coffee that’s been chilled because the hot water releases more acid so for people with stomach issues it a better choice but you could probably also just do more coffee grounds for stronger coffee. Or get a bigger container for it, really all you need is a Tupperware, a filter, and a rubber band.

In the UK its a lot more common to use 'instant coffee' (what everybody used for that 'whipped coffee' trend during Covid) to make coffee unless using a coffee machine, French presses or cafetieres are fairly uncommon in most homes and I've honestly only ever known one person who only used ground coffee as opposed to instant. The thing with instant coffee is that you can actually use COLD water to make it and it will still dissolve, might take a fraction longer but it will dissolve and would be a hell of a sight faster than making coffee in a French press etc and waiting for it to cool/ since you can use fridge temperature water to make it outright (also works for most herbal/ fruit teas for those who like Iced Tea by the way, just put the bag/ infuser in the cup and leave it in the fridge for 10min) and then add ice. I came up with a dupe for 'frozen hot chocolate' during lockdown and then thought of adding instant coffee to it to make mocha frappe and it works fine but I've made it as 'iced mocha' before and it still works. If you're after an iced coffee in a hurry instant coffee+ ice cold water is the way to go.
