This week I was extremely excited to test a few furniture hacks I've been seeing circulate on social media! The first is using oven cleaner to remove the stain and finish from furniture in just 20 minutes and the second is a white oak wood paint technique which will blow your mind! Which hack was your favorite?

I’m so in love with todays new video! These techniques are perfect to keep in your arsenal 😂 Also, if you noticed some dry skin in my mustache, I get eczema under my facial hair in the dryer months! Sorry for the dead skin flakes 😂

Use mineral oil.. it's anti microbial!.. my son has dry skin and get bumps when he shave,, is it dime-size amount of mineral oil rub it on your face and neck before you shave.. help build up your moisture barrier.. FYI mineral oil stains.. please put on my feet and it stains my sheets

Hey, Drew! Just wanted to say that I sympathize. I've developed eczema myself over the last couple of years. Not fun to deal with, but I guess it could be worse. I was totally amazed at the way the stain technique transformed that piece! I honestly had my doubts. But it was stunning! 😍 Thanks for trying those out for people like me who are complete renovation amateurs! 😆 Another great video to keep for future reference! Thanks for continuing to bring us such awesome content! ♥️

Back in the 60s they called this antiquing. The materials you used came in a kit to cover all the 50s pink and black decor, aqua painted metal kitchen cabinets,, etc. Funny how things always come back. Looks great! Loved the oven cleaner hack!

Yes! I am currently preparing to "redo" my mother's "antiqued" secretary in this new painted wood technique. I think she initially antiqued it in the late 60s or early 70s.

Painting those nightstands was absolutely the right decision. They weren’t a particularly nice wood, either in tone or quality, so you definitely added value and made them look way more expensive painted!

Just an FYI: The glass doorknobs on the rolling stand (if they are as old as I think they are) are worth more than the $50 original price on it. Good find! Even if they aren’t that old the matching set would still be about $20. The final result was awesome 💞🎨⭐️

I’ve known those little rolling cabinets to be called work horse cabinets, for the simple fact that you could use it for whatever you wanted. I’ve mainly seen them in home offices with a personal printer on top and extra paper in the bottom cabinet with a shredder next to it and then a hole-punch, stapler, pens and what not in the drawer. Whatever the piece actually is, you made it stunning. And can we talk about those nightstands?…. GORGEOUS!🤩 The black paint was the perfect choice. Thanks for sharing your brilliance.👍🏼🤩❤️

Great job. I watched someone else try the oven cleaner thing on all of her bedroom furniture. She had the same results and did it a second time. Then they came out even and the more bleached look. The faux wood look cabinet is an old school microwave cart, I believe. When microwaves weighed 200 pounds.🤪

So many people are trying the oven cleaner on furniture, but it's so much work when strippers already work so well! It's not lifting everything consistently and you need multiple coats which means you're exposed to more of those cancer causing ingredients. So my favorite was the wood look cabinet!
