Quite frankly I don't get the whole idea of being 'lame' if you don't own branded items. Dupes or original, it's all consumerism unfortunately. Practicality and wearing/owning only what you need until it no longer servers you is i think the most optimal solution. Getting stuff because they're 'popular' is such a hoax and a very unsustainable way of living. What's on tiktok is just items that have great marketing strategies behind them, is all. I really hate to be that person... and this comment is trying to give some constructive feedback, I know that Ashley really branded herself as someone who was constantly making efforts to be more sustainable and I feel like a lot of recent content is just promoting consumerism. like I buy dupes right cause the original is expensive and as someone who owns the original and buys the dupe just to compare, what do you do with all these dupes after the video. or like another video on buying a bunch of products on tiktok shop. another note is Ashley an Amber have posted about Palestine since 2021 and supporting their cause yet continues to include brands that are founded by zionists like Kim k and skims. it's not easy to say this cause I have been a long time subscriber and hoping she reads this because she has a large platform and young audience. and amazon is owned by Jeff Bezos who invests in Israeli surveillance. all love no hate, I mean amber kind of points it out by saying it ends up being more junk in their apartment. just food for thought
