What makes me so upset about the orange peel theory is the fact it's supposed to be doing small things for people you love WITHOUT ASKING. Because your partner is supposed to notice these little things about you. People just ruined it because they didn't understand it- The orange peel theory and pomegranate poetry are beautiful things when you actually understand what they mean

I'm surprised that Louis' channel hasn't blown up to the millionth degree. It's fun, it's funny, it's entertaining & informational all at once. Not to discredit your current success, Louis. (Btw, yes I use proper grammar in KZbin comments. Deal with it.) I hope it only grows from here. :) Also if my partner made a mess & asked me to clean it up, I'd probably say no. Unless they're in a rush or dying or something. I'm a decent human being and kind of a people pleaser, so it'd be hard for me to say no. I'm better than I used to be, but I still have a hard time declining people's requests, especially the little things. Yes, I'm fine, thank you. :) Also also, the only reason I'm not peeling an orange is because my depression has depleted all of my energy levels (how am I getting to the kitchen in the first place) OR I physically cannot (ie my arms are broken) OR my autistic brain is having issues with the texture of the orange peel all of a sudden for some reason. Other than that, I'M PEELING MY OWN FRIGGIN' ORANGE.

I Don't know if this is the same thing as the orange theory, but when I was younger I used to do something similar for my dad. I am autistic (although I've gone undiagnosed for most of my life), and have always had trouble expressing my feelings for someone, especially when I was younger. So when I was around 5 to 7, I would just open a bunch of pistachios and give the pile to him as a way to express how much I loved him. In my opinion, I feel like it might be sort of silly, but I think it was sweet looking back and that feels different than demanding your partner (or any loved one) to peel your orange or clean up the mess you made so that you can show it to everyone online.

Not to be weird but before this damn trend I had no idea how to peel the orange. I never had to do it because I hate the taste of the fruit , so I had never gotten the occasion to actually do such thing. After seeing this trend w/ my gf, she joked if I could peel an orange for her and I had to confess about my lack of knowledge how to do it. She was a little confused, but I explained the reason to her and we gave this trend the right outcome. We went shopping together, bought two oranges, found a cookie recipe that included oranges and she taught me how to do it. It was a great date and I learned a skill that can be useful in the future and this is how the rest of those stupid trends should end- in love and support

The way taxi cab was explained to me is that men don’t actually care about who they marry, they only care about feeling ready for it. It’s a way for ex’s to feel better about themselves when they waste 8 years dating a man who never cared to even think about proposing but then he’ll date his next girlfriend for 5 months and propose to her just because he felt ready to get married to anyone not because he actually loves/cares about the new girl that much more.
