I think the main problem is the fact these people are trying to break romance down to a science when it's an art. You have to know how to truly be yourself if you expect someone to love you for who you are, so you go on this never ending balancing act of being palatable but being genuine. But the key is that someone will find the genuine you attractive. And maybe you'll find their genuine self attractive. Thats it! Thats it thats the whole formula! Now of course there's more work to be had and it's more complicated because a lot of these guys are poorly socialized, ultimately its just a matter of being your genuine self. And if your genuine self causes other people to peace out, maybe your genuine self needs work! Theres nothing wrong with changing opinions! And sometimes it really is just you being surrounded by the wrong people. So be it-- someone will EVENTUALLY see the genuine you, out and about, and go "I want a piece of that!" People put so much pressure on themselves to be loved by others its so sad man :((

Oddly enough, it happened to me before and i'm not even such an attractive girl. Back then i used to talk to a guy, we really vibed, we were pretty close, talking about all kinda of stuff and laughing a lot. So one day, this guy tells me he likes me and continues to tell me how we have a connection and make compliments to my pics. Yes i sended him pics but mostly with my usual casual outfits. That i don't mind, cuz they were nice and tame compliments. Yet he kept compared me to his exes like how we do this as friends, watching movies and animes together and all that. Again i didn't find that odd either, a bit much but i don't mind. But he kept going how he wanted to be with me. Now since we got so close, i really loved our friendship and nicely told him that i didn't liked him that way but i still wanted to talk to him because we were mostly loners and we had a great friendship so far. He agreed but took a big break betwee our talks and i respected that. I said, i don't mind and i'm sorry i don't feel attracted to you that way, but take your time. Well, he came back, we continue as the usual but he said again that he liked me. I told him again i didn't liked him like that. With each tike he would mention that and reject him kindly, he continued to get on my nerves. I felt like he was persistent because he would hope to change my mind. So like that i got into a fight with him and eventually we ended a great friendship because of that. The moral of the story is: Know when to stop. If it doesn't work, stop being bitter about it and move on.
