hi i am new to testing (selenium )plz help with this scenario : i created a method to check user login in a web app or not with valid credentials test gets pass no issues 👍 but with invalid credentials it will fail to login but this failing is actually meant that test is passed as credentials were invalid well if i want to sort our passed and failed test cases this failed test will go to failed section but it is actually pssed .. how testers deal with this? plz help 🙏

You can do this with Assertions. When you enter invalid credentials and try to login, you will get an error message. so get text of that error message and then compare that text message with the expected error message. If both the messages are matching then your test case will pass.
