Hi Rahul Sir, I have two question related to understanding what is API with Marriot hotel example. 1. When API is communicating to server (here to Back End Code of Mariott hotel) in which format it communicate ? is it with http request ie either xml or json or something else? 2. When Server is sending back the response ie reservation data to API, in which format it sends back to API, is it with http request ie either xml or json or something else? Thank you.

REST API better to learn? - it's one of the most demaning testing skill required these days. better to have knowledge about it and have practical hands on POSTMAN REST assured. what about Jira tool and Agile methodology? -- Jira has replaced almost all other testing lifecycle management tools and its easy to understand. POSTMAN enough or SOAP UI required? you can skip SOAP UI as majorly REST APIs are being used. again should know POSTMAN and REST ASSURED. I have seen CI/CD Jenkins etc in some job details. Do I need to know that for automation testing? Yes, the basic knowledge about it must. e.g. how to configure the project jenkins what all parameters need to be passed. how integration has been performed and schedular is executed.
