Hi! I have a question, In the #53 exercise, I don't get it. The formula says SA= 2 etc. I can't do the symbols, so sorry but says r square right? I replace 6 but I put de 2 as says in the formula but you didn't. I don't understand why? I am sorry if I can't wright the good formula. Excuse me, but on question #53 the result it's 979.68. why your result it's different?

Hi, thank you for watching. It sounds to me like you multiplied by pi. I talked about this at about 19:55. In this case, you don't have to multiply by pi, as the answer choices leave pi in them. If you multiply 312 by pi, you get about 979. It sounds like you did the problem the right way, it's just that here, you didn't have to multiply by pi. Does this make sense? on the rounding decimals isnt it supposed to be 33.3(3)3 that one in the parentheses being the one in the tens? im consufed 😭

I'm thinking maybe some of the confusion is coming from the concept of tens vs tenths (please correct me if I'm wrong). If I gave you the number 123.89, the one is in the hundreds, 2 is in the tens, 3 in the ones, 8 in the tenths, and 9 in the hundredths. So in the example 33.3(3)3, the three in the parenthesis is in the hundredths place. Does this help it make more sense?

Consider the number 456. 6 is in the ones, 5 in the tens, and 4 in the hundreds. Now consider .456. Here, 4 is in the tenths, 5 the hundredths, and 6 the thousandths. Does this answer your question?
