After meeting with Harthion and receiving the magical tower, the party returned to Brandy-Mug, only to find the house ransacked by the local guard. They tried to find any information but came out short, thus they went to investigate the festival. Amid ongoing festivities, they were attacked by an elf bard who used the same crystals embedded in the party’s bodies to control infected villagers, causing chaos among the civilians. Although the party managed to save everyone at the market, the elf escaped.
The mayor, Magnund Mournsing, head of the Mournsing clan famous for Brandy-Mug's brandy, interrogated the party about the events. He pardoned them, declaring them innocent, and invited them to his home for rest and food. There, the party received a quest to find the elf and stop further murders, but also learning about other possible locations with crystals.
Defeating the terrorist, the party discovered the elf was an agent of Sidaril'Luten, extremist elves aiming to reclaim their lands through deceit. The elf, infected and carrying a journal documenting his experiments, had planned to kill everyone in the village. With this information, they returned to town, keeping the details secret. The mayor greeted them as heroes and agreed to publish a book about their travels.
The party then traveled west to the barbarian clans, accepting a mission to defeat the Shattered Hand clan for their attack on the Wolfhowl clan. They needed the leader’s head and the clan heirloom, an orb of lightning. Using stealth, they discovered the disease-ridden camp and learned that Noqa, a sorceress from the Twilight Cabal, was trying to help the chieftain, Brokenjaw, unaware that a hobgoblin named Varrox might be the cause.
During their investigation, the party caught a vampire contaminating food and water with a disease called White Risen from Moldavia. The vampire, serving Yuriy Dmitrievich, a vampire lord, was after the orb. Persuading Brokenjaw that the orb caused their misfortune and they became honorless due to their actions, the chieftain agreed to a suicide-by-duel with his warriors. The party used this distraction to steal the orb, align with Noqa, and agree to confront Varrox. One of the party members defeated Brokenjaw, becoming the new clan leader and ordering them to restore their honor through hard work.
Returning to Wolfhowl, they received rewards and enlisted the vampire’s help to scout Varrox’s camp. Using clever tactics, they infiltrated the hobgoblin camp, entered Varrox’s tent, and used a portal to his demiplane. After a fierce battle, they defeated Varrox, causing the demiplane to collapse, killing many hobgoblins near the portal. The remaining hobgoblins surrendered and were convinced by the party to travel to the duergar for work.
The party then moved north to Kjeragbolten, a dwarven city now populated by many non-dwarves. While shopping, they were attacked by doppelgangers searching for one of them. The doppelgangers spoke about stolen faces, but when the party later talked to a member of their guild, they unfortunately didn't learn the reason for the attack.
Afterward, they went to the dwarven bank and spoke to the manager about their goal. There, they discovered that the platinum slab that Lazlo used to pay the duergar was linked to the House of Kerrhylon, a dragonborn house in Hyboria. Thus, their next stop was Uppsala, where one of the Kerrhylon manors was located.
Before leaving the city, the party agreed to help the local government find a group of masons who had ventured into the abandoned parts of the dwarven city to begin repairs and assess the damage. Venturing deep into Kjeragbolten’s abandoned levels, they rescued stonecutters trapped in a flooded chamber. Using their abilities, they managed to get the dwarves out of the water, as they were barely able to swim due to malnutrition. When they returned to the surface, they earned the city's gratitude and hero status. On this day, the Purple Court was born.
