I've built several of your CHS designs for camping and I really like them! Although I want to say please don't handle JB Weld with your bare hands. It is common for people to develop an allergic reaction to raw epoxy over time through repeated exposure.

Смотрю в ноябре 2022 года. Лучший и креативный вариант. Спасибо!👍
Thank you! Very nice videos and your craftsmanship is impeccable. Would love to be able to read all your notes/comments in english.

really like the design and ideas, thanks to you last week i try to make it "eCHS" using your video as guidance with limited tools that i have, and turns out come up really good, also i have cook some eggs and noodles with it several times. once again Thank you

What a master piece! Of course the one with the chemical seal burns better, judging from the color of the flame.

Hello, I really appreciate your videos! May I ask you two questions? Why the need for JB Weld inside, at beginning of the video? And why there's a different crease marked with a screwdriver? Just to indicate the maximum level of fuel?
@jmontman7 жыл бұрын
I was wondering about that too.
@tetkoba7 жыл бұрын
There is a slight gap between flange and body. The JBweld as gap sealer. The mark is, yes, indicator of the maximum fuel level.

Thanks in advance! I'll build another CHS like this! The previous I build is working really fine for 2 years

Hello, I am looking to build a small beer/pop can alcohol stove. My desired goal is for efficiency and long burn time rather than ultimate burn temperature. Could you recommend a design style best suited to these ends? I am also curious about a few things. First does building a stove with thicker aluminum walls help in any way so far as the basic performance goes or does it just make the stove stronger and heavier? Second, is a double wall stove inherently more or less efficient than a capillary stove? Last, can a double wall stove be built with a top like that used in a penny stove or must the top be wide open and if so why? Thanks for posting your amazing videos they are very entertaining to watch and your craftsmanship is astounding. Thank you for your assistance.

@@tetkoba: this looks excellent, how far above the flame do you need to place the pot? Can this model be mare to simmer or is it easier to make a high efficiency smaller simmer stove? Thanks so much for your response it is very much appreciated.
@tetkoba5 жыл бұрын
@@morayjames92 Well, I think less than 1 inch. If you need more simmer there are two methods. 1.simmer heat fire(under the pipe). 2. reduce jet hole diameter or number of jet on pipe.
Sensei need some help .I followed all the steps according to your guide. The problem is ,my stove cant produce a complete flame combustion ,which is a blue flame. Got 8 jets with 1mm hole. And 17 creases inside. Just wondering why my stove creates a mix color of flame. Partially blue and yellow on top
@tetkoba6 жыл бұрын
There are two reasons. 1. I think your jets are too large. Amount of vaporization is too much, causing oxygen deficiency. Try 0.7mm X 8 jets or 1mm X 6 jets. 2. It also depends on the composition of the alcohol fuel. When ethanol component increases, it tends to be a yellow flame. My fuel is methanol 95% and ethanol 5%. Hope this helps.

Ok sensei ill update you soon. I'll post a vid for my 3rd stove. As expected to your advice my 2nd stove got improved. From rubbing alcohol to denatured alcohol and it goes so well and burns so smoothly ,unlike before .as of now im trying to build my 3rd alcohol and ill follow your advice. Arigato so much for sharing this beautiful masterterpiece of yours....
Tetkoba, at 9:36 you show two stoves - one with a blue flame and one with an orange flame. Is the flame blue because the JB Weld is giving a better seal?
@tetkoba6 жыл бұрын
Well, I think fuel difference. The right side straight flame eCHS uses alcohol fuel with a lot of ethanol component(almost 30%). The left eCHS uses 5% ethanol.
@jandal89056 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, Tetkoba. Here in New Zealand, our fuel (called 'methylated spirits') has a lot of ethanol in it. I've been wondering why I always get an orange flame. Does the straight flame eCHS have good efficiency? Sorry to ask so many questions!
@tetkoba6 жыл бұрын
I think straight flame type has tends to be lack of oxygen.
@jandal89056 жыл бұрын
Maybe when the flame goes straight up, it reaches the bottom of the pot more quickly and doesn't have time to mix with oxygen. Thank you once again, Tetkoba-sensei.
I think Tetkoba mostly uses 0.7mm and 0.8mm drill bits. Personally, I sometimes drill 11 x 0.6mm holes.

can you make a self-pressurising stove that throws out a loud jet like flame? something like this maybe /watch?v=ClNE06KAEy8&t=61s but prettier and simple as possible?

hat type of stove has a fatal problem. With commercially available adhesives, including JB-Weld, it is not possible to achieve both strength and heat resistance. BLAST BURNER from FREELIGHT is product of this type, but it is solved with a special ordered adhesive. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ip69YXeVd6x7h7c
