so was that orifice clogged and thats what cause it to start moving slowly?

But why does the basic design require a design change in order to function. That is, why have it, if removing it proves it’s unnecessary?

Thanks for the informative video. I have an '06 435 with a similar issue. It just recently developed this, and the machine has over 6,500 hrs on it. Does the 435 pump have the same orifice in it? Does the orifice need to be replaced, or just removed? Did you discover the root cause of the issue? What I mean is, for many hours, the machine worked as intended, as designed (with the orifice installed). What caused it to suddenly slow down, when it was working fine before?
@hardialsawh9843Ай бұрын
Hey Brady, Would the sticking torque limiter valve also cause the hydraulic oil temperature to increase?
@Suds649Ай бұрын
A plugged fuel filter and or air filter can cause a slow non responsive machine. The ecm (engine control module) senses the load and backs off the hydraulics on the pumps so the hydraulics can’t stall the engine. The engine will sound and speed up to the no load speed just like normal. Years ago before the computer controls if you had a plugged fuel or air filter the hydraulics would stall out the engine and misfire because of the lack of horsepower to run the hydraulics at full load.

I have this same problem on an E10. Does this fix apply? It's quite a different animal compared to the bigger models.
@brandoneads5496Ай бұрын
Do the IHI 's have that also? I have an ihi 80 and the hydraulics are slow, all the hydraulics. Mine does not stop and the catch up, they are just slow. Mine is slow tracking, sick boom, everything. I have changed the hydraulic fluid and filter.
@GoneUralingАй бұрын
Is this on an E26 and would that explain why it would move slow for maybe 3 seconds then speed up to normal? Most of the time it's fine, but every now and then any movement will start very slow up to 3 seconds, then suddenly to go full speed. In 50 hours or so it has probably happened 8 or 9 times and while colder, doesn't do it when hot (yet).
@skipwilson4792Ай бұрын
I'd like to ask about a 324 I have. The swing is slow, but I can speed it up by moving the crowd or the curl stick a bit. It is like it ups the fluid flow. Would this be the same sort of issue ? Hope I'm describing that right.
@keithsharratt3402Ай бұрын
It was working when it was new , what changed , if it's not needed then why have it in the first place?
@ModelLightsАй бұрын
'then why have it in the first place?' Similar idea to water hammer in pipes, something tells me that orifice system was put in place to stop the extra wear from 'bang-bang' type control.

I'm assuming since you said there's nothing wrong with leaving the orifice out that this is some what similar to the T590s "over the shoulder piece" the little pintle and spring that cause the joysticks to lock up 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
@antoineturpin9201Ай бұрын
Hello thank you for sharing your expérience, I have a bobcat e26, sometimes (rarely) my boom won't lift UP back but when I use thé joystick to regain power I just have to pushh back down against the ground and it lift it UP and it IS running back good, What could be the reason, the spool ?

very well explained, it is a lot easier to see it on a video than reading about it 👍

When new hydraulic hoses are made installed always clean out inside of new hoses . When shop cuts hose it leaves metal rubber shavings inside hoses. Which when installed clog stick things ruin a machines pump etc . I seen so many people just put a new or used hose on never cleaned it out .
@johnathandoe3558Ай бұрын
Such a fine detail that can have serious consequence over time. What a good comment, great attention to detail, never even considered this👍👍
@MitzvosGolem1Ай бұрын
@@johnathandoe3558 saw it happen. People in hurry rushing to get machine back in operation. One small fragment in a spool , valve or something. Disaster. That's why when a pump fails debris is pushed throughout entire system almost impossible to get all chips out. I had a CAT 320 spent days flushing all cylinders all motors valves hoses out. Still has issues . תודה רבה שלום
@dwilley3754Ай бұрын
I agree. I used to work at a place where we made hoses and they just cut them with a chop saw. They would have all kinds of rubber and metal still in the hoses. I always flush mine out with diesel fuel before I install them.

So why does the manufacturer put that in? IE what is the purpose of the orifice you removed?
@stormqazx10 күн бұрын
is it same on 341 G 2004 ?
@billyhorton5779Ай бұрын
It is my understanding of Load Sense Hydraulics that is the pressure drop across this orifice that starts the "sense" part of the downstream valve(s) that actually shift to apply hydraulic pressure to move the swash plate inside the pump. Or it could be I am just full of it!
@precisionfilms3777Ай бұрын
Bizarre. Why would it work with it then need to be removed randomly to keep working normal?

Hey, i have the same situation on a Takeuchi tb145, year 2006, but I have just 1 cilinder really slow, the stick cilinder. What do you recomand to look? It is posibile to have this orifice / plug / pin for only 1 cylinder? I change all the seal of this cylinder. Thanks

The problem is still there, you just bypassed it, right ?
@garymallard4699Ай бұрын
Was the other parts sticking? That fixed it but i would say there is another issue to consider causing this problem...if it worked with that part in from new ok..then now there is another problem causing it to need removal to work.. 50 plus years fixing stuff 🇨🇦🤓🤟
@tetradgroupАй бұрын
The orifice is designed to help smooth the operation of the pump. However, there is no noticeable difference with or without the orifice. The flow of oil is too slow to get the pump stroked with the orifice over time. We've been through many pumps trying to find the cause with no luck. The theory is there is a minimal amount wear on the torque limiter, causing it to not shift smoothly. The only option is to replace the pump or the torque limiter, which is more than the pump, then it will need a pump setup once installed. This could be around $5k to repair. Removal of the orifice is a Bobcat suggested repair process which we've done for many years, and never have I seen an issue after removing it.
@garymallard4699Ай бұрын
@@tetradgroup yes as i thought...another part causes this problem..but expensive to do the full repair..this is a cheaper option and what i would choose...thanks..👍 🇨🇦🤓🤟

Not really on the same subject but, what is your opinion on Friday Parts Kubota Engine Parts for V 2203 in a 753
@tetradgroupАй бұрын
@sandyjoseph9880 over had mixed reviews with friday parts, sometimes orders take a long time to get. I got a head for a v2203, installed it and then found they machined thru a cooling jacket into the exhaust port. Flooded my engine with coolant. That cost me time and money.

Ditching parts isn’t a fix, there is a reason for that part I am sure, what’s the purpose and what’s the downside of not having it…. Clogged perhaps, maybe it’s to slow the flow so it’s not jerky… seems sketchy to just ditch a part and call it fixed.

So in the end, do you leave the orifice out? Why do the engineers put it in if down the road it’s going to fail? Good video, BTW.

Yes we leave it out, the orifice, in theory, is supposed to help keep the hydraulics smooth during engagement but its hardly noticeable with or without the orifice.
