Edward Norton is one of the great actors of his generation. He has gained acclaim for his roles in movies like Fight Club, American History X, and Primal Fear. In all, he has written, directed, produced, or starred in over 50 movies. His off-screen interests and achievements in environmental activism and social entrepreneurship are just as substantial: he serves as the president of the American branch of the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, an award-winning environmental conservation organization. Additionally, he was appointed the first United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for Biodiversity. In 2010, he founded Crowdrise (acquired by GoFundMe), a platform fostering grassroots fundraising to champion various social and environmental initiatives.

The way he explains his feelings for the chili peppers and the satisfaction he gets from John’s composition is spot on. It’s surreal to hear a legend like Ed express the same intimate thoughts and feelings that I get from something that at times feels so personal and isolated. Excellent conversation from start to finish

The Fight Club premiere story is iconic 🤣 damn right it never should’ve been shown at Venice… and Scorsese walking out is the cherry on top!

Edward Norton is the best actor of all time literally such an argument to be made. He should’ve won an Oscar for American history, he’s so freaking good in every single thing he does. You can tell the careful consideration and thought for performances he gave us honestly I wish she was in a Charlie Kaufman movie. Those guys got to do something Together

I think Brad was right too. Fight Club is one of the greatest movies for it's time that everyone hated, and almost nobody understood. Even to this day people are still completely missing it's brilliance. This was a great interview. Norton is such an underrated actor and yet one of the GOATS.

Listening to Edward is so nice, he has so many interesting things to say about a lot of stuff. I didn't really watched a lot of movies with him (i don't watch a lot of movies in general), but after listening to him, i really want to watch his work, because know i would be able to kind of see it not only from my perspective, but also from his at the same time. And also, even though our success in life is completely and totally on the opposite sides, i find that we have a lot of things and views in common, not most of them, probably not even half, but a good amount. Thank you for the podcast!

I've come to the conclusion that Rick is either Hermes or The Count of St Germaine. This is amazing hearing two masters discuss their processes. I always thought Rick was a label owner or some other dickhead back in the day when i saw him with the beastie boys. All these years later on this path I am on, I find out he was basically the scribe of the music gods for people who knew to seek his help. "The lips of wisdom are closed.." (you can finish that) 😉 🧙‍♂️ 🙇‍♂️ So glad I can listen to him now and understand every sigh and breath, it's weird man. His book is calling me man, on my way to pick it up now

Rick, you should interview Daniel Johns. That man is a musician from a whole nother world. And now he has a film coming out. Love this show man. Thank you for the book too. Ive listened 3 times😊 P.S.[Edit] Ask the Peppers about Dan. Silverchair toured with them in the 90's. The band were only 15/16 years old at the time, had the 1 Rock radio single of the year, and they played Stadium shows with the Peppers! Just amazing. You gotta think about it man😊 The 2 of you would really click. I just know it Dude
