I remember when I first played Tetris on my uncles Game Boy. For the longest time I thought the goal was to build as high as you can as quickly as possible. I have no idea why I thought in that way but I remember having lots of fun trying to build different types of towers with the random pieces I got. The games may have been short lived but just proves to me that even when you play it the wrong way you can have fun with this game. Quality stuff.

@@autistichades5552 Puyo would more likely be the Dark Soul of puzzle-game, since it's more "hardcore" in low and middle levels (though it's similar in high level: playing the game your whole life and still think you're not good enough ahah).

Though I did find some really, really shitty flash versions of tetris called "Strip Tetris" which made me laugh, as well as a doujin with some nice art, though that involved people _playing_ tetris and not the blocks themselves.

My favourite Tetris game has got to be “Tetris and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games” with a great story mode and gameplay that makes you feel like Batman. The sad thing is that Tetris doesn’t reach its full potential and comes to a close second when compared to Bookworm Adventure Deluxe. IGN 9.5/10
