+André Francisco I think that's why Naito is great and one of my favorites. He's not just a great wrestler, his character, at least to me, feels real and makes sense. Naito has a believable character and gives the 'anti-authority' character a whole new meaning. He doesn't have to go to war with a authority figure. He just calls out a company for their bad decisions and throws belts around while still remaining loyal and to some extent, shows his love for the company. He is not just a replacement for Nakamura. He proved why he is the only 'Tetsuya Naito'

I think all Naito said about WK12 is work. If you know the story of Naito's redemption, you know, that his main goal was to be in a main event of WK for IWGP Heavyweight Championship. I think, that NJPW creative team want to make that story a bit longer: Naito winning the IWGP HWC at WK12 would end the story, but now, his precious main event place was made less important because of "double main event" bullshit, someone stole his spot again. Get it? Even if he will win (and I think he will) it won't be the most important moment of the all important moment of the evening.

Actually I think think it's a bit of a shoot, and a work on Naito's part. The blurring of the lines is what has me more interested in the main event, instead of Omega VS Jericho. Even though, I'm excited for that match, and the undoubtedly big business it will get, I'm more invested in Naito and Okada from a storytelling perspective, both in the ring, and out.

If this is the beginning of Naito vs Omega then it's gonna be a big move by NJPW. I mean we all know Jericho is going to bring a lot of eyes on NJPW alongwith him. I agree with Naito here. The point of G1 is that whoever wins the tournament main events the Tokyo Dome. And he won the tournament, so why did New Japan make two main events ? Because Jericho is a big name ? I like Jericho and the build up to Jericho vs Omega is much better than Okada vs Naito. But, Naito vs Okada should have been the only main event. Naito is absolutely right, NJPW needs to stop viewing themselves as 2nd to WWE, I use to watch WWE a lot as a kid and it breaks my heart to see it go to shit which is why I quit watching and immediately got hooked on NJPW, the wrestling, the characters, they don't insult the audiences intelligence, is for adults, they treat their talent much better and give them more freedom, and their booking makes sense and it's a true meritocracy, u get what u earn. NJPW if they keep doing what they're doing and keep expanding their reach to all over the world they will replace WWE as the top company and I hope they do because the way WWE has become complacent and lazy they deserve to fail much like WCW did.

Naito's argument about the 'double main event' in my opinion is only valid if Jericho beats Omega, and we all know that's not going to happen. The implication of him beating Jericho is that NJPW wrestlers are better than WWE wrestlers, and so it's important to build up the match and Jericho's name value as much as possible. It will be a major boost for the perception of the company internationally. Naito is just concerned because of what happened to him the last time he was supposed to be in the main event, but times are different and it won't take away from his match with Okada.
