My name is Jodi Middendorf and my dream is to encourage people to get outside and feel comfortable in nature. In this video, I share Waterfalls and the Baptism River mouth at Tettegouche State Park On the north shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota! Let me know if you have any questions about this gorgeous state park!
I camp and hike in and around the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. In the Superior National Forest, in Northern Minnesota. I love sharing the journey with you all. Thanks for joining!
Thank you for subscribing, it means a lot to me.

Hi, We were just up north last week during the hot summer week of June 10-17th. We went down and down the stairs to get to the high falls. It was tough doing the trail but we did it and we’re rewarded with seeing the falls. We walked to the baptism falls which has worded stairs and I slipped and turned my ankle, but it wasn’t that bad. We’re from Minnesota but yet hadn’t explored minnesotas state parks before, we seen itastca, gooseberry, bemidji, Duluth, silver bay, lutsen Mn. We enjoyed it a lot besides the bugs. Duluth was cloudy and foggy most of the time but we saw canal park and lake superior. Our state park permit definitely paid off.

@@jodimiddendorf do you know about the crystal (quartz) cave on the other side of gunflint lake? used by Indians and charlie, by old charlies cabin, access from the bay to the right of magnetic bay channel. looking at google earth i think you can see the old trail heading up from the lake, if you want great info, history on the gunflint trail look at pioneers of the wilderness by an old friend of mine Willis H Raff. if you did not remember i was the naturalist for gunflint lodge in the early 80s. I am looking forward in seeing your new stuff. Or the old dutch ovens on the other side by the railway middle of lake area?

Me and my brother jumped off that cliff into the water @ 5:25 during the summer like 10 years ago. There were some local kids doing it so we said what the heck. I jumped in and my feet touched the bottom it was so high. Then you just swim to the mouth of the Baptist river to get out. If you’re on the other side you’ll see the path it takes you to the edge of the cliff. I don’t think you’re supposed to Jump off. But it was fun. The river felt like a hot tub compared to the lake temperature

Love Tettegouche Park! It's nice to see the waterfalls, but also would have liked to see Shovel Point and the cliffs. Keep up the videos!

Jodi thanks for making a video that mostly shows the scenery with your commentary in the background. Other videos I found had people talking about the park, but with their face front and center. Couldn't even see what the park was like. I appreciate you showing what Tettegouche is like and having you add your thoughts as you walked us through it.
