After playing a second time on Inferno BBQ and completing it, I completely agree, but maybe DLC content will feel different.

I love and respect all the bosses in this game... except this thing. "shrugs" This is probably how it was intended.

I did my first playthrough of this game on Expert without consumables, but when I reached this boss I was not having fun at all to the point that I just used a waffle during the 2nd phase to get it over with. Weird the final part of the game has one of if not the best bosses in the game then followed up by one of if not the worst.

I finished the game on Inferno earlier last week and came to the conclusion that the bosses are actually insanely easy if you just find more bunny potions and sigils to get stronger. Managed to do this boss on Inferno without using a single consumable. The scaling is honestly just really crazy, so you (and me on my first run) probably didn't collect enough to be on equal terms of the bosses balance. That or doing it once just made me infinitely better at the boss, but I really do think stats makes a huge difference.

yeah I was only around 40% item going into the final sequence. I didn't feel walled by any boss so I thought they were balanced around my current item% like Rabi Ribi.

@@Mudkep_ the game scales based on the number of potions you collected and your character level, it doesnt care about sigils. Still, with enough potions you outscale the bosses

I found that the game actually gets easier over time due to the sheer number of powerful sigil combos you can access. I beat most of the end game bosses on my first try, but it took me several attempts against Katu or Caprice in the early chapters.
