I can tell. It wasn't the first time he dealt with a robot. There was a Treehouse of Horror segment where it involved a futuristic house and an HAL 9000 Parody, played by Pierce Brosnan of all people. It tried to eliminate Homer, but he's still kicking, so Homer offed the AI. Granted it didn't die, it was just shutdown, and it ultimately went to Marge's sisters. And yeah, I know it's an AI and not a robot, but the only other robot Homer dealt with was Bender from Futurama, and he doesn't appear in many episodes since he's not important to the plot of The Simpsons unless it's a crossover episode.
