The Deer wised up years ago and they moved into both small villages here on the island I usually have like 20 deer in my backyard

I feel your pain. I had the last week of November and the first week of December off. The first week I hunkered down at home as I was scared of getting stranded in the back roads. Managed 4 days the first week of December on Van Isl but saw nothing but grouse. Looks like you had fun either way!

It’s been a weird year for sure, haha. It is what it is. I always enjoy just getting out though, and I always learn a little more than I knew the last time out, so it’s all good. Just part of hunting on the West Coast 😂 Glad you were able to salvage a couple days too!

@@cheechakooutdoors I had a total of 6 days of hunting in October..saw 1 big buck but he was gone within seconds. I did not have an ethical shot..never saw him again. Can’t be successful every time I guess..cheers and stay safe 😁👊🏽

I’ve been visiting Texada a fair bit longer than I’ve been hunting it. Everybody will have their own personal opinion, but to me, coastal blacktails taste better than mule or whitetail deer, so for me, they’re worth the trip.

😂😂 I hunt the south coast, if I didn’t hunt in the rain, I’d never get to hunt. I spend 80% of my time out in bad weather
