The Christmas Eve and Christmas Day snowfall in 2004 was very historic for Texas. Snowing from Wharton, TX, including El Campo, Tx all the way to Corpus Christie, Tx. Absolutely beautiful! El Campo had 8 inches of snow, no ice. So historic. HEB had books for sale with many photos of this wonderful event. This was our best Christmas ever in South Texas.

Thanks, David, for being so thorough with your forecast. I live on the eastern end of the RGV. I'm keeping a close eye on the weather via a variety of weather apps, as well as my local weather peeps. The spring semester starts tomorrow, so, naturally, I'm a bit worried about travel to/from campus this week. Hopefully, the college admins will err on the side of caution and cancel on-campus classes for Tuesday and the first half of Wednesday (online learning for all). I guess this is still just a wait-and-see event. The last time I encountered wintery weather on the first day of the semester was way back in 2018, I think. That was a weird day; it was warmer in the morning hours and much colder in the early afternoon and evening hours. The drive home that evening was hazardous as it had been sleeting off and on since early afternoon. I had to dismiss my evening class early because I wanted to make sure my students would get home safely. I think this Tuesday is going to be a similar situation, weather-wise. Fortunately, I don't have classes on Tuesdays this semester, but I do on Wednesdays. I am not looking forward to my first day back on campus, at least for my morning class, anyway.

Yes! A drip every second on exterior pipe's, split hot and cold water. Outside pipes need socks/foam weather protectors. If you have a leak, turn off the water at the curb, unless you have a internal shutoff. If it's at the curb, you'll need a plumbers key/wrench of some kind.
