- Nathan Fillion, the actor for Nolan, DID lose alot of weight during S2 and subsequent seasons. He mentioned that despite having stunt doubles, certain shots still requires him to run, jump, crawl and climb which his fat prior self was having trouble coupled with the age that he already has thus he started to keep himself fit by cutting down on carbs and exercising with his free time and thus, he got slimmer and slimmer. - For S2, the arc was Talia Bishop, Nolan's TO for S1 got what she wanted and was transferred to another precinct as detective thus she's not seen again from S2. However, the actual actress, Afton Williamson, left the show after citing "high inappropriate racial & sexual comments" from the production crews and apparently being sexually harassed by a guest of the show. She even tried to sue to whole team for what happened but the lawsuit went nowhere as no prove could be found. - Aiding and abbetting charges like that straight up sticks cuz 1) the bounty hunter was injured right in your yard and was even shot outside your unit 2) there's no fucking way in high hell that after that fiasco you do not know where the suspect is

Fun fact on extras... Chicago PD uses almost exclusively off duty officers when they’re hanging around the district. And one of the now regulars on Chicago Fire is a real full time Chicago firefighter. He started as a consultant and truck driver.

Something I can't recall whether or not The Rookie features, is the Special Investigation Section (SIS). They're a plainclothes surveillance unit that has just about all the equipment and training of SWAT, minus the armored vehicles. They drive around more inconspicuous cars.

So I've done hospital security and seen knock out drugs in action, takes about 1 to 3 minutes and doesn't typically go unconscious but not unheard of. And yeah nurse/ doctor would wait until the patient was restrained

I'm guessing the Dr administered haloperidol(haldol) which would take at least 20 minutes to reach that level of effect. Retired paramedic 35+ years. I just got woken up by sirens and one of the two airships that LAPD keeps up 24/7. Nominally one in the basin and one in the valley. It sounds like it is over the city limits line in mutual aid so a Sheriff's helicopter might show up to relieve it if whatever is going on last long enough. Since they are up patrolling anyway they get used, an additional bird might be launched should they need to pull an airship from aerial surveillance.

Nathan Fillion (Nolan) at that point actually lost weight, as he decided to take on a more healthy way of living, and the directors liked it because they thought it ties well into Nolan's storyline as he gets into shape and decides what he wants to do.

You guys wanted proof that the PA system is connected to the radio system, and I shall deliver! In a video on Donuts Raw Police Footage named “Cops unload on stolen government truck” or something like that (I can’t post the link or KZbin will delete my comment) you will see: At 30 seconds in you will hear the (I assume) training officer saying “turn on the PA” At around a minute in you can hear that every time the officer makes a radio call, his siren stops (because his radio is still on) A little further in you’ll hear the TO realize what’s going on and say “you’re on PA” (after he makes like 6 radio transmissions over PA). This is pretty much proof enough that LA uses a system where both the PA and the radio are connected and can be switched between.

So Bishop lied about sexual harassment and quit the show. The wrote her off by making her an ATF agent. I did some research and I found a department in Pennsylvania that uses an in car radio that is both for dispatch and yelling at people. That be said I also saw a system that had two separate radios. I know a department local to me uses the radio on their vests but I can't find anything specific to the LAPD.
