I went and saw Stevie Ray Vaughan play at festival hall brisbane Australia 1982 or 83 I was a couple of years older than you are now. I met him after the gig at some function which me and my mate somehow got into we had just started our first band at university and I had just discovered stevie and Clapton the who and hendrix and all the stuff i id never really heard ( i learnt to play guitar from the eagles songbook) Stevie had covered voodoo Chile at the concert I was in the second row what a guitar lesson but the I remember the ost was that after the gig he came over and talked to me and my friend he was a genuine good bloke and I think he would be absolutely stoked with your cover of this. His vocal delivery and tame but tight way of playing a classic blues is a cool way to cover this legendary jam. I enjoyed this!
