Women and girls think it's very "useful" to save our sports, and our privacy: women had to fight for years in the 1970s, for Title IX, which granted women and girls the right to have our own sports; and women had to fight for years, in the 19th century, for separate public toilets - it was called the urine leash, before we had them, since women could only venture out as far from home as their bladder would hold out. But this is framed as the rights of a few privileged men to invade our spaces and sports, and we're the bad guys for not wanting to go backward.

One of the problems with DEI is that it undermines the legitimacy of many people - especially women and non-white folks - who are indeed in positions on a merit basis. My wife has a very senior role in a major organisation. The day they bring in DEI and gender quotas, her legitimacy on merit terms is reduced. Your comment proves that.
