Though preserve hunting has it's place, I don't think hunting with trained animals that are fed grain, and are hunt in daylight is real hunting. When you can get within 60 feet, I just don't see it.

Savage Arms has a really good trigger system on most of their rifles. It's called the "Accu-trigger." It has to be felt to believed.

Using a tripod to steady a shot to ensure an ethical and clean kill is not sportsmanship? Interesting definition of sportsmanship you have.

I actually just got back from New Zealand and loved it. I'm torn, though. Because I love hunting all the animals New Zealand has, but I equally enjoy hunting hogs and deer! I do have to say, New Zealand countryside is amazingly beautiful. Nothing like it in Texas. But then again, Texas is beautiful in a different way also, and there's nothing like it in New Zealand. Thanks for commenting!

Yes, the suppressor work was done by Dark Horse Arms. Check them out. They make some great rifles and prices are very reasonable.

I appreciate that he's an ethical hunter who pays attention to shot placement. Not many hunters do anymore, especially when it comes to feral hog hunting.

As a fellow Texan (and Houstonian) I say thank you for the wonderful content. I love how Texans are taking care of our hog problem without legislation or birth control like they are in the hamptons. Although I'm not a fan of your tripod and silenced rifle, I still have to say as a fellow hunter, that the morality in your technique is what hunting is about. Hunting is not killing. I personally enjoy the long stalk of following the game I'm after which is why I don't care for 50 yard mounted shots. I enjoy the challenge of a hunt and go hungry more than I should because I will not shoot unless I find the exact animal I'm after. Not trying to undermine this technique but as a Houstonian, I have to make a thing out of it when I'm able to get out of the big city. To say that hunting is just another sport is a tremendous understatement. The connection with the wilderness, the isolation, the overall bond one has with nature while hunting is something most people don't understand. As soon as the power goes out at wholefoods people will flock to Texas to try to learn exactly what it is that makes this place so special.

Keith Warren No problem at all. I'm interested in finding some new land to hunt but I can't seem to find a good spot. I've been dying to get out there but the guys land I usually hunt has been out of town for a month. If you have any suggestions I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

All this talk about "god-given rights" and "liberal this" and "liberal that" in the comments. Here are MY interests, in order: 1. Pulled-pork sandwiches with mustard bbq sauce on onion rolls 2. Slow-smoked baby-back ribs, Kansas City style 3. Homemade honey pepper thick-cut bacon Nothing else matters, that is all.
@BesttBi8 жыл бұрын
Number 2!! The Ribs, yessss!
@SamBrickell8 жыл бұрын
That's fine. However your interests give you absolutely no right to infringe upon anyone else's rights and their own interests. And liberal isn't really the correct word anymore. Classical liberalism is essentially libertarians. These new assholes are just leftism followers, they don't actually want freedom from government in social affairs and large government in economics affairs. If they did, they would have SUPPORTED individuals rights to have their own private bathrooms not allow men to go into women's restrooms if their customers prefer that. Modern leftism followers are for neither freedom from government in an economics sense or freedom from government in a social sense, they are for "virtue signaling" and their own interests being pushed on anyone who disagrees.
